AshantiGold are in advanced talks with former Kotoko coach Michael Osei to take over as head coach.
The club's CEO Kudjoe Fianoo told the Graphic Sports that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.
Osei left Kotoko before the start of the season after the club appointed Croat Zdravko Lugarusic.
The Miners are in need a coach after veteran Bashiru Hayford quit last Friday.
AshantiGold are second-bottom on the table with eight points from the available 30.
