General Manager of Great Olympics Oloboi Commodore has accused the Ghana Football Association of behaving like armed robbers after quickly moving to organize Congress just hours after the court verdict.

Background

On Wednesday 21st February, 2018 an Accra High Court dismissed Olympics’s injunction on the launch of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League in a protest that Bechem United fielded an unqualified player against them during last season's campaign

Following the dismissal of the Wonder Club's court case, the FA called for the General Annual Congress within hours that took place at the FA's headquarters yesterday afternoon.

According to Commodore, the manner the GFA acted makes him suspect foul play. He noted that the governing body acted in bad faith and believes the rush to organize Congress immidiately after the ruling was an indication they probably already knew the outcome beforehand.

“We did exactly what the law says and the court gave a ruling and we are going back to the boardroom to decide our next step. The Ghana Football Association is treating Olympics like armed robbers shutting all doors on us.

“The ruling by the court says we should settle the case with the FA but we are surprised with the attitude of the FA because they are behaving like thieves.

“I just don't understand why the GFA is running like armed robbers to organize congress because it seems to me that the Ghana Football Association knew the outcome of the court case."

“Yesterday, most members voted in favour of the Congress because they are afraid of Kwesi Nyantakyi. One thing I know for sure is that the Ghana Football Association is in a rush to do things because of Great Olympics."

“The FA acted in a bad faith. Don’t rule as out from the Premier League and nobody can expel us from Ghana football. We will work according to the law but I am daring anybody to expel us from Ghana football,” he added.
