The Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Saanie Daara has stated that he will seek redress over claims that he took an amount of GHC 4000 from a supposed brother of a player to help get called up for Black Stars team B.

In the current Investigative piece by ace Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas showed on June 6 and 7 at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC), Mr Daara is seen not taken the money offered to him by the supposed brother of the player but had directed that the money is given to a man standing close by.

The unnamed man with a blurred face in the video is said to be the friend of the GFA Spokesperson.

However, the former BBC correspondent has denied knowing the unnamed man with the blurred face in the footage, saying he could be a friend of Anas.

According to the footage, when the request was placed before Mr Daara, he advised that the agent and brother of the player should work hard for that was the only way a player gets called up to play in the national team B.

He stood his grounds saying he ‘absolutely did not receive any money or use the money’ and will ‘seek redress at the right quarters’.

According to Anas, the man with the blurred face in the footage had indicated that Mr Daara later took the money.

However, the GFA Spokesperson denied taken the money later.
