I will vote for Akufo-Addo even though NDC tried to brainwash me - Diamond Appiah

Diamond Appiah has joined the New Patriotic Party's camp of celebrities endorsing Nana Addo for presidency.

The singer, actress and businesswoman says that during her years of being a supporter of the National Democratic Congress, the party leadership brainwashed her with numerous lies about Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to a post on her Instagram page, all the derogatory comments members of the NDC made about Nana Addo turned out to be false.

And for these reasons and more, she would be throwing her support behind the leading opposition party’s flag bearer, Nana Addo.

Diamond Appiah, herself, is aspiring for MP for Trobu Constituency on the ticket of Odike’s United Progressive Party (UPP). Odike pulled out of the presidential race to throw his support behind Nana Addo and many think this also informed Miss Appiah's decision.

"On December 7th the presidential candidate that will get my vote on the presidential ballot paper is Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. Many will ask that why is a parliamentary candidate from a different party endorsing, throwing her weight and support for Nana and the answer is quiet simple, Nana is the best candidate to govern and relief this nation from bad governance, incompetence, hardship and the distress NDC has successfully plunged this country into.

I use to be a member of the NDC some years ago, I even endorsed and campaigned for president Mahama in the 2012 elections, I spoke ill about Nana Addo at that time because I had been brainwashed by some members of my former party ( the NDC ) into thinking Nana was arrogant, divisible, autocratic and so many propaganda and lies they have labeled him with just to tarnish his image but all this perception I had about Nana changed the moment I paid him a courtesy call. Nana and his family welcomed me as if I was one of their own and this symbolic act really showed he is a father for all and not divisive as been speculated by the NDC.

In summary Nana is a man who believes in Ghana. He is not a thief, not corrupt, not arrogant, selfless, responsible, has a passion to serve and a great vision for Ghana.

He has this nation at heart and wants to set his people free from corrupt, arrogant selfish, incompetent and visionless leadership. So for the better Ghana u and I desire please vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo addo on December 7th and your socio economic life will never be the same. Kindly spread the word to all voters in your constituencies and the entire nation that on December 7th lets all help David to kill goliath with the 5 stones god has armed him with..
