A Deputy General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has predicted that there will be a people's revolution due to the lawlessness and injustice under the Nana Addo led administration.

The outspoken politician could not understand why the Delta Force 8 case was dropped and the Attorney General claiming that she was unaware.

A Kumasi Circuit Court Wednesday struck out the case against the eight who allegedly aided the escape of 13 of their colleagues standing trial for assaulting the president’s Security Coordinator for the Ashanti region.

The case was dropped because there was no evidence to prosecute the case.

However, the Information Ministry in a statement after the case was dropped said, the A-G was not aware of the decision to discontinue the case against the eight members of the vigilante group, Delta Force who raided the court in Kumasi to aid the escape of 13 of their members.

Koku Anyidoho, commenting on the issue and other matters under the current administration, slammed the A-G stating, she would be lying to claim that she was unaware.

‘’So if Gloria Akuffo sits in Accra and tells you she doesn’t know what is going on in the Kumasi A-G’s department, it’s a blatant lie. They are abusing the justice system, they are abusing democracy and very soon there will be a people’s revolution. The people will stand up because we cannot sit down and allow these things to happen. Citizens will rise up against this government,’’ he said.

Koku Anyidoho when asked if the revolution did not happen in the era of Mahama considering the cases of corruption under his administration, he said, some groups like OccupyGhana revolted against government adding, there are so many ways of staging a revolt and he believes Ghanaians will use legitimate means to express their displeasure at the way and manner Nana Addo is managing this country.

He also accused the government of appointing families, cronies and friends to rule this country.

On the dismissal of some state workers, he lambasted the president noting, Nana Addo is repeating the era of Apollo.

When asked how soon the revolt will come on, he said very soon the people of Ghana will revolt against this government. The majority who cannot stand it any longer, will come out and revolt.’’

In an answer to whether the NDC and NPP may not have the opportunity to rule after the revolt, he said, ‘’that is the more reason why as politicians, we must be concerned because from where things are going, the citizens will lose confidence in all politicians. That is why it is important as responsible politicians, we all rise up and make sure that what is going on must stop…I am a leader of a political party. I get calls, I am concerned, people are mad, angry and swearing fire and brimstone. I must manage their anger and if we all don’t work together as politicians, it will be bad for this country.’’
