One more dead in Nkrukan multiple stabbing incident

Ernest Teye, the 32-year-old knifed multiple times in a robbery incident at Okornya near Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo District of the Eastern Region has died.

He died at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua, the police confirmed to Starr News.

Teye was stabbed in the back by a 26-year-old notorious thief, Prince Tetteh, a welding apprentice on a robbery spree. Tetteh was also stabbed during the robbery incident leading to his death.

Residents with knowledge of the development told Starr News that the ghastly incident occurred Tuesday dawn, after the deceased in the company of two others, attempted absconding with a motorbike they had stolen.

His accomplices managed to abscond not without machete wounds, and according to police information, they are being hospitalized.

Prince, who couldn’t escape was stabbed in the chest. The knife used to allegedly stab him was still in his chest when the police came for the body.

Investigations revealed that the deceased and one other now at large went and stole Royal RYGY 150 motorbike with Number M-11-ER 574 at Nkurakn.

Teye and others chased them in an attempt to arrest them, Tetteh, however, stabbed Teye in the back. He died receiving treatment at the Koforidua Regional Hospital.
