The Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast is to be closed down for renovation works,according to FootballMadeInGhana.com.
Our information indicates that, the changing rooms, the pitch and stands will all see massive face-lift with the installation of floodlights as well.
This came to light after the CAF Women’s Inspection Team visited the facility which they say will be used as one of the training pitches for the upcoming African Women’s Cup of Nations.
The Robert Mensah Sports Stadium has not seen any major renovation since its construction in 1957. The people of Cape Coast have gladly welcomed the news, describing it as refreshing. They also say it’s progressive for sports not only in the region but in the country as a whole.
