Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in charge of operations, Mr Koku Anyidoho has been advised to reconsider his decision to run as General Secretary in the interest of party unity and cohesion.

A former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kintampo, Hon. Justice Michael Baffoe is of the conviction that the move has the potential to disintegrate the front of the party since both worked in the interest of the party and can do better in their current positions as they were prior to the 2016 elections.

Mr Anyidoho is seeking to contest his boss who is also seeking reelection a move that many argue is likely to create rancour within the ranks of the party.

Hon. Justice Michael Baffoe observed that the services of both are critical to party development and therefore there is the need for the younger one to step down.

“I am pleading with Koku Anyidoho ( The Bull ) to reconsider his decision to contest General Mosquito since the NDC can’t afford to lose either of them in the build-up to the 2020 polls”, he disclosed.

“General is a super being for the NDC fraternity, for now, he is a cornerstone in the scheme of affairs in the NDC. General is a God sent being for the NDC so we can’t afford to lose him. General as the central defender for the NDC is given Koku (the bull, in post as goalkeeper) enough defensive cover but Koku lives up to expectations any time he is called on duty to keep a clean sheet hence we can’t afford to lose their combination”, he added stating that the NDC can’t afford to lose the immense services of Koku should he lose to General in the impending national election”, he disclosed to MyNewsGh.com in an interview.

His argument is that Koku will be a perfect replacement for General Mosquito come 2022 as the next Chief Scribe of the NDC.

“When he steps aside after serving his last tenure of office having successfully masterminded the comeback of the great NDC with HE John Dramani Mahama at the helm of affairs to continue with his vision to position Ghana as a true middle-income country and rescue Ghanaians from this super incompetent Akufo Addo/Bawumia family and friends government, he stands tall to succeed Asiedu Nketia”, he intimated.
