Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah is mocking protesting serial callers of the party in the region for clothing themselves with powers they don’t have and can’t exercise in any way.

According to the free-talking minister, some of the serial callers had threatened upon his appointment that he wont last 3 months in office but to their disappointment, he is in his second year.

According to him, it shows how powerless they are but they go around pretending to have real authority over matters in the party.

“Did they (serial callers) not promise me only 3 months? What has happened. Have I not ‘cut’ 18 months? These boys think they have some power ‘aaamaa’.”, he said.

Asked by the host to exercise patience, he flatly refused and said he should be allowed to talk.

Yesterday, MyNewsGH.com reported how disappointed New Patriotic Party (NPP) serial callers in the Ashanti Region were up in arms against the leadership of the party and government, singling out the regional minister and the regional NADMO boss for scorn and insults.

The serial callers burnt every communication gadget the ruling party procured for them for communication purposes in defense of government policies and programmes. They also burnt sim cards and used recharge cards they said they bought with their own money, as MyNewsGH.com’s Ashanti Regional reporter reported.

The serial callers who claim they have been abandoned while those at the echelons of power, mentioning the regional minister in particular, are ‘chopping’ with impunity, after their little bonfire session warned their members region-wide to desist from further calling or texting into local radio stations on behalf of government henceforth.
