So, obviously, it is man's choice of making the river an idol, and giving it a human mind to "frown on" fornication at its temple site. Is it then possible that some people have ignorantly given the river to man's adversary, and expects all who come to its falls to honour it , so the river god will, in turn, treat them favorably.
Won't it be more intelligent to find out how firm the the trees in the neighborhood of the fallen tree are? Trees with eroded soil and with much of its roots out of the ground will not be able stand by itself for too long. It is such trees which are hazards to visitors at the falls which need to be removed from the falls site

In as much as I agree that the place need to be kept decent, I also think that the Chief, authorities and the inhabitants who are privileged to have this natural resource in their area should pay more attention to the safety of tourists.
What ever happened to maintenance? Did the authorities not envisage the storm was imminent and could trigger some danger to tourist and therefore needed to prevent entry or ask people to leave until the weather was clear? Or were they only interested in collecting revenue? Smh!
