This same Peace Council was reported yesterday blaming Pres. Akufo Addo vehemently for this act of some so-called NPP Delta Force, and trying to paint him and box him into the NDC's failed campaign strategy of being violent and all sorts of things. At the end of it all Mahama was defeated so massively. Why, because the issues NDC had to solve, which recently has been in the public domain and raging like some inferno, was strategically deflected.
Is it not interesting that at a time the NDC's issues about their massive defeat, which had become topical and raging in the public sphere were gaining momentum with heavyweights in the party dropping massive bombshells and Prof. Botchway literally howling they should pipe down, this Delta Force invasion would be sneaked in to deflect from what was going on in the NDC party?
That Akufo Addo should show leadership...
The Police have a responsibility to protect life and property and the National Security Minister and the Minister of Interior per their mandate have a responsibility to act in the interest of the State. Did the Peace Council demand of the Police, National Security and Interior Ministers to act and show leadership and did they not do it, before yelling President Akufo Addo must show leadership and he didn't???
These shenanigans have not worked as the heavy defeat of the NDC and Mahama has shown. It will serve the NDC well, not to deflect from what needs to be done in that their party, if they ever want to come to power again. The NDC must solve their issues and do it publicly and move away from this failed strategy of deflection. It did not work, it hasn't worked and it won't work.
