Andre and Jordan Ayew’s Swansea City have been officially relegated from the Premier League after a final day 2-1 defeat at home to Stoke City.
It was always going to be an uphill battle for the Swans with survival not in their hands, but they made a positive start.
They opened the scoring after a brilliant assist by Andre Ayew to set up midfielder Andy King who slotted home in the 14th minute.
Stoke however pegged them back courtesy of a 31st minute equalizer by Ndiaye before Peter Crouch grabbed the winner on the stroke of half time.
The Potters could’ve made matter worse for the home side but for a missed penalty by Shaqiri in the second half.
The match saw pockets of fans protest against the club's board, with chairman Huw Jenkins absent from the Liberty Stadium.
