Head coach of Crystal Palace U23 Richard Shaw says a decision on Ghanaian midfielder Hiram Boateng will be taken before the start of the new season.
Baoteng, 21, played for Bristol Rovers and Northampton Town on loan last season. He returned to Palace for Pre-season and has impressed senior team manager Frank de Boer so far.
But it is not known whether he will be given the chance in the senior team or move on loan again for the coming season.
“Hiram has been terrific all pre-season, I have to say,” Shaw told the Croyden Advertiser
“He has come back off of his loan and his attitude has been first class. I am sure in the next couple of weeks we will know where Hiram is in terms of whether he is going out on loan again or whether he stays. But he is probably at an age now where he needs to go and play league football.
“But he has been a real major plus for us in pre-season, helping out the younger lads.”
He made his EPL debut for Palace in 2016 against Swansea City.
