KP Boateng left Las Palmas to get close to family in Germany

Kevin-Prince Boateng’s unexpected departure from Spanish Club Las Palmas was as a result of the player’s decision to get close to his family.

The Ghanaian international mutually terminated his contract with the La Liga Club just weeks after extending his deal.

Boateng’s shocking exit was to enable him join his family who are based in Germany.

His wife Melissa Satta and son Madox Prince Boateng left Italy to Germany where they have been staying for some months now.

The 30-year-old also has his extended family in Germany, a country the former Portsmouth star grew up as a footballer.

Reports have linked the midfielder to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt who are said to be holding talks with the player.

The former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder has played for German Clubs Hertha Berlin, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke O4.

He scored 10 goals in 28 appearances for Las Palmas in the Spanish La Liga last season.
