Ghana football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has described former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah as a better coach than before.

According to Nyantakyi, the former Black Stars defender has gained more experience after a woeful stint with Black Stars during his reign in charge of the team.

This call comes after some renowned football administrators had degraded the competency of the gaffer who qualified and led the Black Stars to a third World Cup in Brazil, 2014 but the FIFA Council member thinks otherwise.

“In all Kwesi Appiah is now a better person though he made mistakes in the past but has gained more experience and better person than previously”, he told Starr Sports.

Meanwhile, Appiah is heavily tipped to be reappointed as the new Black Stars coach after going through a successful interview last Friday and it is believed to receive the backing of Nyantakyi to return.

The search for a new trainer for the senior national team intensified last week where three coaches were interviewed last Friday after over 100 applied for the job.
