Former Black Stars forward Tony Yeboah is one of the few Africans to excel in Europe in the 90's and early 2000's. The Ghanaians goalscoring exploits Germany and in England makes him one of the best to emerge from the continent.

The striker who played for Hamburg in Germany finds himself together with compatriot Gerald Asamoah in the top ten highest scoring Africans list in the Bundesliga.

Yeboah, until recently held the forth as the highest African scorer in Germany but was dethroned by now Arsenal forward Piere Emerick Augbamayeng.

The former Borussia Dortmund hitman struck 98 times in the Bundesliga before his move to Arsenal in January 2018, making him the highest-scoring African player in the league's long and rich history.

Second on the list is Ghana icon Yeboah, whose 96 strikes in Germany's top division saw him go down in history as one of the most prolific African strikers, not only in Germany but in the world.

South African-born striker Sean Dundee, who once represented Germany's "B" team, scored 61 Bundesliga goals during his time in the country. Dundee was born in Durban in 1972 but decided against representing Bafana Bafana.

Nigerian forward Jonathan Akpoborie, who played for clubs such as VfB Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, hit the back of the net on 60 occasions, while Togolese legend Bachirou Salou struck 51 times in the Bundesliga, as did Leroy Sane's father Souleyman Sane, who represented Senegal at international level.

Gerald Asamoah is seventh on the list with 50 Bundesliga strikes, although he represented Germany on the international stage despite being born in Ghana.

Egyptian Mohamed Zidan is eighth with 47 top-flight goals in Germany, followed by Cameroon international Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting with 45 strikes, and Ivorian Didier Yo Konan with 40 goals.
