In most cases, patient begin to complain when the disease has already manifested, sometimes the cancer has spread to other organs and the whole system becomes compromised. I don't know how much his friend knew about his medical history or what authority he has to speak on behalf of his friend. This is a lesson for all of us. Please, get frequent comprehensive medical check annually. Also, get to know your body and always follow your guts.

While I empathize with this gentleman who obviously was hit hard by his friend's demise, there is the need to realise that medical science and/or interventions do have their limitations. Even in the most advanced medical facilities in countries like the U.S., U.K., Canada etc. people still die from conditions that are unfortunately beyond the capabilities of medical practice. Let us spare a thought for practitioners who carry on the brave fight, often against massive odds, and usually weighed down by unrealistic hopes and expectations from families and friends. May Christopher Opoku's soul R.I.P. He fought the good fight, and even in losing that fight he left an enduring legacy, for sure.

The stages based on this will be T1,T2,T3 and T4 and N and M also having their stages.So using this TNM system you can know who will benefit from operation or not.With this system also you can even prognosticate as to even how long a patient will be free from disease after surgery etc.
