I am sorry to say our mindset and attitude to work will collapse the Gas industry soon. My assertion is based on past experiences in Ghana and abroad, whereas foreign managers are more focused on increase in productivity and efficiency by directly coming to the floor to engaged in physical operations when help is needed, the Ghanaian counterpart is more into exerting his managerial position and feels by physically helping out is demeaning.
Our bossy attitude and tribal considerations will collapse the industry.

when can Ghanaian economists take charge of our economy instead of running to the IMF? Is it not better to leave the economy to engineers to handle?

Local engineers to continue the work is good but our local engineers should learn how to manufacture and make things like this for our use instead of always going for expatriates to put the things in place and we only maintain. 60yrs after independence and the engineers we produce cannot make things like this. Eg when Adomi bridge was refurbished, we had to go for European engineers to do it. For how long shall our African engineers take to be able to manufacture simple things for ourselves?

My major concern on these very take over from Chinese characters in such cases is to be extra vigilant and monitor every single move of every Chinese still at the site until they are all completely out.I have worked with Chinese in Japan for years and take my word.they can intentionally set traps for the unsuspecting Ghanaian engineers so that few months after taking over a MAJOR" planned" accident will occur that will cost the nation dearly.
