62-year-old Yaw Agyenim Boateng has been arrested and put before Court in Koforidua
A 62-year-old man, Yaw Agyenim Boateng has been arrested and put before Court in Koforidua for indecent assault against a 15-year-old JHS pupil of Eastfiled Academy Preparatory School.
The victim is friend to grandchildren of the accused person and lives in same community at Nyamekrom, a suburb of New Juaben in the Eastern Region.
Nana Yaw, the accused, on November 1, 2017, at about 5:30 pm went to visit a grand-daughter of his.
After a while, the victim informed her friend that she was going to search for a piece of wood in the uncompleted building just behind the house, while looking for the piece of wood, the accused rushed on her, fondled her breasts and started touching her sexual parts in an attempt to have sex with her.
Grand-daughter of the accused fortunately entered the uncompleted building and caught the accused in the act and spread the incident in the community.
The complainant upon his return from Accra, lodged complaint at DOVVSU and the accused was arrested and he admitted the offence.
The Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Bernard Annor said, the accused has been charged for indecent assault.
