“I love you” easily floods the tongue and the lips has no option than to open up for so such emotionally-engaging words to find space in the heart of one’s targeted partner but on a more realistic ground, it appears that many really don’t weigh those words before diffusing them.
“LOVE”, has become more popular than any highly ranked celebrity. Its transforming power, like a two-edged sword, has what it takes to tattoo a lasting smile on an individual’s face and vise-versa, can drag the soul below ground level.
“THE BEDROOM” is a breath-freezing romantic comedy written and directed by Ghana’s versatile talent, Atsu Adaletey.
It boldly confronts a contemporary subject and frowns on a global reaction to ethics that once shaped the code of sanity among humanity.
The play incorporates mime, dramatic action, music, stand-up comedy and dance to tell a story of a married couple who swap gender to defend their ideologies.
Struggling between feminism, bagged-secrets and a thug-of-hearts, Mike finds himself imprisoned under his own roof without any tangible means of escape.
The unending battle exposes him to an unexpected revelation at the latter. A plot inspired by One Bed, Four Hearts, and Three Dreams.
The play begins its nationwide tour on the 28th, 29th and 30th April, 2017 at the Amu Theatre, University of Education, Winneba. Since it’s nailed to a modern relevance, it is expected to draw some celebrities, chiefs, religious leaders and passionate theatre fans.
Professor Kolawole Raheem (Head of the Centre for School and Community Science and Technology Studies (SACOST) at the Institute for Educational Research and Innovation Studies (IERIS), University of Education, Winneba), has been very resourceful on Atsu’s theatrical projects and his ceaseless generosity has challenged Atsu’s creative works to fruition.
Proudly glued to this vision, the executive producer, Pastor Andrew Amoah Gogoh, the producers, Alexander Kwesi Bornesound and Joshua Okpoti, alongside AMI Pictures Inc., Bright Future Arts Foundation (Ghana-USA), Zaafiarts Productions, and the think-tank who have been tirelessly working behind the scenes cannot wait to embrace another adventure.
PROEYE MEDIA is again using this project to package and promote made-in-Ghana creative vessels and using this platform to call on corporate bodies, investors and philanthropists to support live theatre productions in Ghana.

About the Writer and Director
Atsu attended University of Education, School of Creative Arts, Dept. of Theatre Arts, Winneba and is the production manager at PROEYE MEDIA (a multi-media firm).
His journey in showbiz began at the National Theatre of Ghana in 1995. From 1998, having discovered his firm position in the creative arts, he featured in theatrical productions, corporate events and volunteer events at the National Theatre of Ghana, Centre for National Culture (Cape Coast), W.E.B. Du Bois Centre, had exploitative theatre experience at the National Council for Arts and Culture (Abuja-Nigeria) with support from Mr. Muhammad Sulaiman and Magaret John (Meg J).
He also featured in NAFTI Students’ Films, GTV Home Sweet Home TV Series, TV3 Music Music, TV3 MTN FUSION with Abeiku Santana, KSM’s TGIF Show (Metro TV), political ads and in other projects.
He continues to write and direct stage plays for Theatres, Educational Institutions, Churches and amateurs. His passion and dedication to the creative arts has extensively linked him to celebrities and experienced personalities like Mrs.
Gertrude Opare Addo, James Gibbs, Zoey Martinson (a talent coach, writer, actress and director, New York, USA), Harrison Nesbit (Casting Director of the award-winning movie “BEAST OF NO NATION), Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), David Dontoh, Henry Brew Riverson Jnr., Emmanuel France, Ako Tetteh and many others. He is the founder of Bright Future Arts Foundation (Ghana-U.S.A) established in 1999.
