Ghanaian male gospel musician, John Winner is calling on Christians to stop being judgmental in order to win more souls for the kingdom of God.

In an exclusive interview with Prince Kwesi Dadzie aka Mr Handsome; the gospel musician said the reason why people are unable to come to church and listen to God’s word, is because Christians are judgmental.

He disclosed on the show that he smoked marijuana popularly called ‘wee’ for a period of 14 years until he had an encounter with the savior Jesus Christ and accepted him his Lord and savior.

John Winner said it’s been 8 years since he stopped smoking and his encounter with God has been an amazing journey for him.

‘’I was smoking wee. I smoked wee for 14 years. That was my past. I started smoking from my senior secondary school days…The feeling for smoking is no more there. I went through a serious deliverance and it was my first love. I became seriously sick but I got my healing. I will not say marijuana is evil but for me; health wise it is not good for me. It was not good for me. It didn’t harm me but health wise, it was not good for me. I don’t regret my past because it makes me who I am.’’

The talented musician says there are people out there who are looking forward to give up their evil deeds but the approach to winning such souls, has been a major challenge for Christians.

He advised evangelists and Christians not approach people in a judgmental way but approach people with a method that will make them reflect upon what they have heard and the Holy Spirit will take over.

He described his style of evangelism and music as a radical one that is intended to win more souls for God.

‘’I use music as a major platform to win more souls. I use a style to compose music that can be played in a club so I will be able to get to the street and win more souls for God,’’ he said.

Preaching the word of God is about hope and an opportunity for people to have a relationship with him.

‘’This a major revelation and very radical and rough,'' he concluded. Born John Oppong Inkoom, the artiste recently released a video of his single ‘Big God’, directed by Phamous Films.
