  There we go, it's a very long time we heard of this braggart Ewe, Daniel Pryce who will always like the whole world to know whoi he is. I can still remember when that post monger (Pryce) ones said on this platform he will soon obtain a Ph.D and agin ones also told the platform the number of SUV cars he is riding in USA. OMG! those pompous big mouth Ewes in our midst. He is howeveback with another useless stuff.

  Danny Boy, it's been a long time. Well, I don't know much about policing[Law enforcement] in the US and the relationship between the Police and Black/Ethnic minority communities, unlike here, in the UK. But I can safely think some of the things happening to most members of the Black and ethnic minority communities in most US neighbourhoods do happen here in the UK, albeit on a different scale. The use of excessive force[both in arrest and shooting], violation of people's rights, institutional racism, racial stereotyping and discrimination affects Black and ethnic minority communities.
  
  The Police force is perceived as 'institutionally racist'. There's racism within the force and policing generally. If a young Black man driving a new Mercedes-Benz, Audi or BMW is "Stopped & Searched" at least six times the rate of his/her White counterpart, then, there's the concern that Blacks are unfairly being targeted or Police powers being used disproportionately against Blacks and ethnic minorities. This undermines respect, trust and fear for authority.
  
  I think to improve the relationship between the Police and Black communities, the Police force has to address the issue of "racism" and "discrimination" within the force. The recruitment of Police officers from Black and Ethnic minority community will help in dialogue and increase the level of trust.
  
  However, we cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that most Black youngsters have no respect for anyone. The lack of discipline in most young Blacks due to poor upbringing and 'broken homes' clearly spill over unto our streets in most situations. Most young Blacks engage in criminal activities and resort to violence. We need to address such issues in our Black and Ethnic minority communities.

  You think the police in the UK and, especially the US, don't do that? That's what they've been doing all the time. Yet the practice persists. If racism and discrimination continue in the entire society, how can it be any different within the police force? The force may over-reach itself to be seen not to be racist and discriminatory but it takes someone who can easily be racist to join the force in the first place. The police force appeals to such people and the blacks who join are more interested in their daily bread than trying to improve things within the force.
  
  But LONTO-BOY, your other point is very good. If black youth, especially in the US, learn to respect as an end in itself, respect, not fear, instilled in them from home, the problem may not be fully solved but greatly reduced.
  
  In the small European country where I live, one can hardly hear of such things. Of course, the blacks here are not as many as in the USA or the uk but everybody sees the police as their friend. The people themselves are respectful from their homes so why won't the police also respect them?
  
  I think the issue is of long standing in the US, which makes me wonder why the US police don't know the simple measure that Daniel describes above? Don't they have police universities doing research in such things and laising with other academic institution?
