pic 61981094 The Eastern Regional Minister, Victor Smith has said government will collaborate with the Volta River Authority (VRA) to replace the burnt Dodi Princess on the Volta Lake.
Mr. Smith who spoke to Citi News shortly after visiting the scene said the situation leaves a big gap in tourism in the Eastern Region and the nation as whole.
“This is a big blow for us all. But I am very confident that the government will assist the ministry of tourism as well as VRA to replace this holiday facility,” he told Citi News.
The ferry which served as a courier to the tourist site of Dodi Island on the Volta Lake was burnt to ashes last night. **
