COST OF RITUALS?
Author: GENERAL DeGAULE Posted: 2012-07-04 03:52:03 Assuming the cost of rituals is $1m; should the State fund that? The Airline and its Insurers should at the very least be billed for all the funeral expenses even before any settlement follows.
Sue allied
Author: kofizee@hotmail.com Posted: 2012-07-04 04:18:00 I agree sue Allied. Life is s precious thing to loose.
Irresponsible father
Author: Kwesi Ampong - uk Posted: 2012-07-04 04:37:54 Since when did government start paying the funeral expenses of deceased citizens. This father is just an opportunists. What are the Ghanaian lawyers doing. There is so much money they can make from this case. The deceased Families need to come together and sue Allied Air for negligence, or Ghana Airport Company who are responsible for the management of the airport for negligence and managerial failure.
Ghanaians should learn how to sur and claim compensation for non- compliance and stop always looking up to the government
TOO MUCH FOOLISHNESS
Author: Butumengebu Bronyi Posted: 2012-07-04 05:06:19 The government rushed in to make promises that they had not thought of keeping. Classic NDC style. Why pay for more than the funeral of a person who is not a bread winner? You support families of breadwinners. Secondly, why was the onus on the government to pay compensation? It should be with Civil Aviation & the airline depending on who the investigation determines was responsible for the accident.
Stop Playing politics
Author: Monkey Business Posted: 2012-07-04 06:13:29 You will get more than the $2000 Keep chaing the Allied Airlance is reponsoble for your sone death and not Govev of Ghana. You will receive compensation Stop playing politics with your sons death

Author: Akua Posted: 2012-07-04 06:22:08 Why the Govt. The airline should have insurance.Sue the Airline. You definitely deserve more than 2000
Get Lawyers To Negotiate On Your Behalf
Author: Chikay Posted: 2012-07-04 06:27:01 I hope Mr. Hlordzi Mawulor isn't trying to make money out of the death of his son, however the right thing to have done was to seek the services of competent lawyers who would have done the bidding on behalf of the bereaved families, rather than Govt just giving your a token to hush-hush the families up.
Re: Airport Plane Crash: Victim’s Family Accuse Go
Author: Mensah Saraku - UK Posted: 2012-07-04 06:28:30 Stop talking about the rituals and go straight to the point for that will not work for you in law.
Breach Of Confidence
Author: Amos Narh Posted: 2012-07-04 06:33:17 Government shouldn't have rushed to make promises of full funeral support on this issue. Government can only show sympathy by giving a token donation but it cannot be responsible for all the funeral or any other related cost. Two thousand dollars from government is very handsome .If there are any rituals the family wants to perform,It is their own cup of tea . The person to hold is Allied Air and not government. This family needs education on this issue.

WE SHOULD SHOW SYMPATHY WHEN NECESSARY.
Author: Frank O.A. Posted: 2012-07-04 06:49:15 I sympathize with the family but they should know that promise and fail is the hallmark of NDC. It's in their DNA.The hope lies in NPP. My sympathy goes to the bereaved families, God will see you true.
NDC, LIARS WHO STEAL FROM THE DEAD
Author: KENNEDY ADONGO Posted: 2012-07-04 07:04:13 The NDC criminal gansters are shamelessly heartless liars who never fulfil any promise they make and had infact taken Ghanaians for granted if not fools.
Can anybody in his right sense of mind believe the uncrupulously wicked NDC appointed foreign minister Mumuni when he gave the brake down of the expenses of the strangely organised funeral for our children who died in the hands of the barbaric Gambian security operatives as follows: 100 million Cedis for the entire 27 individual families, a whoopy 250 million Cedis for funeral refreshments, 178 milliom Cedis for hirring carpets and decorations, another whoopy 250 million Cedis for unforseable expenses and 50 million Cedis for journalist who covered the funeral event.
My first question is do the government need to pay for journalists who seek for information for their own business interest and who were these shameless journalists who took the bribe money to cover such a pathetic story of lost souls of innocent Ghanaian children?
What is the wisdom of giving only 100 million to the entire 27 bereaved families and spent the whole amount of 178 million Cedis for floor carpet and decorations? and into whose pit fall pocket did the 250 million Cedis unforseable expenses droped?
That is the deceiptive NDC for you Mr. Hlordzi Mawulor. Take heart, have my condolence and let's all pray for a peaceful regime change, come 7th December as there is enough evidence that, the Atta Mills led NDC 2 are nothing but bomkers of organised criminals.
Re: Airport Plane Crash: Victim’s Family Accuse Go
Author: kay Posted: 2012-07-04 07:47:50 The governement brought this upon it self-why take responsiblity for something which has nothing to do with it. Why didn't the governement direct the family to lawyers for the families to make what a call a justified claim against the airline... Then again it's in the DNA of ghanaian politicians to always make promises they cannot deliver and claim powers that they do not have! If the governement is not aware by their action they have made the suffering of the families harder, why promise somethine you know you cannot deliver?
Priorities Mr. Hlordzi
Author: Abeeku Mensah Posted: 2012-07-04 08:11:22 To tell me that $2000 is not enough to buy your son to me is the epitome of a Ghana culture running on steroids.
How many workers and or families in Ghana make $2000 every three (3) month? How many Ghanaians who have worked and earned an honest living have $2000 in a rainy day fund? While the government of Ghana shoulders some responsibilities for possibly an granting landing rights to an unfit and ill-maintained Nigerian plane at the Kotoka airport, it is equally important for Ghanaians to know the difference between what we need and what we want. If most families cannot spend $2000 to send their children to private or well run schools why then do we spend more money than we can afford on a funeral? Are we pleasing our communities with unnecessary funerals or should we have taken care of people when they were alive and living?
LOST SYMPATHY FOR AN OPPORTUNIST
Author: Yelpoe Posted: 2012-07-04 10:07:56 Mr Hlodzi, i want to believe that you were not praying for your son to die in such a tragic situation. In surance claims abound, which eventually would be paid to families of the victims. Government is not responsible for the accident so it is empathically in order that Government immediately showed concern by making a token donation as a first start to cushion the pain of families of the victims. Government was equally magnanimous to make a pledge of supporting the family with the funeral arrangement. Have notified Government of the funeral plans? Support is support and I do not believe that government gave you an indication of the kind of support it was going to extend to the family that it has reneged on. I believe you are rather in a rush, so do the right thing other than jumping to the media. Hope some politician is not behind this. If you proceed in this direction, you may lose sympathy from some more people. Take it easy.

Breach of Confidence? Wrong Title Name?
Author: Comfort Posted: 2012-07-04 15:06:31 In English law, a breach of confidence is not so much concerned with breaking promises between two parties, but more so with the disclosure of confidential information to unauthorized parties. In this case, confidential information was not disclosed nor did it influence any sort of consequences to the victim . Therefore, it can not be argued that that the government is guilty of any breach of confidence.

Gov't accused of breach of confidence
Author: KUTRIKU Posted: 2012-07-05 20:10:29 Mr Hlordzi, had the accident involved a car would you have gone to the gov't for money? You shd educate yourself, WISE UP and stop depending on the gov't for everything. The gov'ts involvement in the issue is just for political favors. You shd engage yourself a competent lawyer and SUE the airline for money and other compensation
