AFAG calls for Attorney General’s dismissal

Pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) has called for the immediate dismissal of the Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Dr. Benjamin Kumbour.

This according to the group is as a result of his continuous silence on the issue of self inflicted assassination attempt leveled against him by a purported police report.

The group claimed Ghanaians have lost confidence in Dr. Kumbour’s credibility as the Attorney General.

In an interview with Citi News, Davis Opoku, AFAG’s Director of Research explained, “It is clear that by his actions, Hon. Benjamin Kumbour has entirely lost the moral turpitude required of the AG to effectively discharge his duties.”

He added, “his continuous stay in office makes a complete mockery of the high office of AG; with such credibility deficit of government’s principal legal advisor, Ghana stands the risk of losing investor confidence.”**
