This GHACEM Award seems to be using that old trick. Ghacem has a monopoly of cement production in several African countries, including Ghana.
This Quarry Award aims at putting the Ghanaian people to sleep, and preventing them from knowing why foreign businesses control Ghana.
Ghacem is also from Norway. History says that both Germany and Norway were at the Berlin Conference of 1844 which divided up Africa among Europeans and other Caucasians. Will we ever be free?

Author: Wiafe Posted: 2012-08-04 12:19:13 Ghacem has been a money make for these foreigners. It was foolish for the Rawlings regime to sell the government shares in Ghacem for short-term gain. Cement is a critical factor in the country's development.
Ghacem basically determines the supply and demand for cement and fleeces Ghanaian with artificial shortages and constant price hikes.
This is a public relations stunt to blunt the world bank's accusation of a monopoly tactics by Ghacem.
But then it was the same World Bank that pushed the government to sell the shares in Ghacem.
So either way the foreigners continue to fleece us one way or the other.
