GNPC is lying
Author: Pelicles Posted: 2012-08-04 07:29:53 GNPC is lying through the teeth. They will cook the books and render some accounts to fools the general public.
Why are they paying some workers $25,000 a month in Ghana and who are these workers and what exactly are they doing for Ghana?
GOD HELP US !!!
Author: LEO R. SAM Posted: 2012-08-04 10:46:43 GOD HELP US !!!
ACCOUNTABILITY, TRANSPARENCY, HONESTY & PATRIOTISM are the major ingredients needed to help the ordinary Ghanaian citizens to enjoy the benefits of the OIL REVENUE.
I am a Ghanaian living in Edmonton, Alberta , the OIL CAPITAL OF CANADA. I have easy access to the Annual Financial Reports of some of the major Oil Companies operating in Alberta. I am a fully qualified Professional Science Teacher. However, I must CONFESS that when I read the financial reports of the Oil Companies, I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND most parts of the report. One needs to be a Professional Accountant to understand the reports.
We need the help of ALL HONEST FULLY QUALIFED PATRIOTIC GHANAIAN PROFESSIONAL ACCOUTANTS IN ALL CORNERS OF THE GLOBE, to keep an eye on Ghana National Petroleum ( GNPC ) to be sure that the oil revenue in Ghana is fully accounted for.
The Late President Mills stated : “ We will account for every PESEWA in the Oil Revenue “ Help President Mills to realize his DREAM !!!
ALL TRULY PATRIOTIC GHANAIAN ACCOUNTANTS should spare sometime to point out discrepancies in the reports of GNPC.
Ghana does not need dishonest Accountants like the dishonest Public Attorneys, who helped to create FRAUDULENT JUDGEMENT PAYMENT SCHEMES so as to collect kickbacks.
The oil revenue should enable the Government to improve the horrible Sanitation Problems in ALL towns and Villages in Ghana. It is a well-known fact ONLY 30% of residents in Accra have access to decent hygienic toilet facilities. Millions of people all over Ghana do not have decent hygienic toilet facilities.
Let us prevent pathologically greedy Ghanaians, in responsible positions, from STEALING our oil revenue.
GOD HELP US. BUT WE MUST ALSO LEARN TO HELP OURSELVES !!!

$17,044,679 SPENT- GNPC STAFF/OPERATIONS
Author: Kofi Freeman Posted: 2012-08-04 19:43:03 Its scary how NDC operatives spend Ghana's Monies with such impunity. Over $17 Million Dollars a year is spent on GNPC Staff and their undeclared operations. And in all the Operational costs on enlisted projects, GNPC GREEDY Staff will cash in. How many people work for GNPC that they are paid over $1 million a year? What do they do? MPs must not only ratify returns sent to them but scrutinise closely these colossal expenditure of GNPC. Ghana won't go the way of Nigeria and other failed oil producing nations by such careless expenses. We must cut our coat according to our size and stop the freebies. What are the salaries of these Oil executives? These are the same Tsatsu Tsikata money chopping GNPC who could never discover oil upon all the Billions PNDC channelled into its nefarious operations, until the Great Man, John Agyekum Kufuor's NPP Govt struggled at minimal operational costs to Discover the Oil for Ghana.
The details of these colossal expenditures are worth scrutinising than merely glossing over. Spending the nation's monies are what these greedy thieving NDC appointees enjoy and love to do. These same people sold all our State Properties in their Diabolical Divestiture Deals!
In fact, GNPC has proved a thorn in the flesh of Ghana's Exchequer, but not this time. Please publish the details of these expenditures than such broad figures of huge sums of monies. No wonder every NDC man and his dog wants to work in the oilfield.
So many better qualified Ghanaians would do far better jobs in the oil field for far less wages, so that we can use the OIL monies to invest in Irrigated Agriculture, buy medicines, build toilets for over 5.4 Million Ghanaians who defacate in public as well as balance our fiscal payments.
We are in August 2012, and yet external Audit has not been done on the detailed expenditures of the notorious GNPC's 2011 Accounts. Who wants excuses when it comes to the Oil monies.
MPs must publish the detailed expenditures, operational costs, investments in this same Natural Gas Pipeline, salaries of the GNPC officials so that can all reflect upon these and give proper counsel on how to deal with the precious God Given Resource that could alleviate the plight of long suffering poor Ghanaians.
$903 Million of Oil Revenue has been spent by this greedy, reckless NDC Govt, on top of loans upon loans mortgaged on the same Oil.
NDC must deal with Ghana's resources with respect, circumspect and much care. We need total transparency and closer scrutiny from the NDC ,whose mantra of Probity and Accountability does not seem to apply to them.
Arise MPs of Ghana. Put Ghana first and scrutinise our Oil Money!
MECHANISMS
Author: BLAIR Posted: 2012-08-06 03:08:43 I believe there are mechanisms to monitor such spendings so is an independent committee that oversees these spending. If there are non the a curse is erupting.
Any portion for Energy-related Education
Author: G. K. Berko Posted: 2012-08-06 07:14:46 I would want to know how much of all these funds went into appropriately educating enough local professionals in the Energy, especially Petroleum and Gas, field to help us wean ourselves off the foreign Technical expertise that not only take jobs away from us, but also cost so much.
Long Live Ghana!!!
