Author: EDDIE Posted: 2012-08-21 11:17:47 The number of Ghanaians in Uk prisons are more than the given number here.I did visit a lady friend in a prison for women in Buckenhamshire for immigration law violation, and according to her there are more than 35 women in the same prison who are there for DRUGS related cases with ages ranging between 28 to 52 years,and are serving between 5 to 10years sentences.The Ghana Embassy are informed of such cases but they never visit them.Most were there at the time of the NPP in power.I requested an appointment to see the prisons director which was granted,but with the deputy director, and according to her the Ghana Embassy had refused catigorically to have any sort of contact with all DRUGS related cases. Most of these women were apprehended in the Kuffour regime.

They put those women in prison and the british quickly came and pleaded on their behave and took them back to britain.Meaning, they were released from ghana jail to serve some time in the Uk. Who knows, maybe they never even serve a single day in british jail.What the hell is the government of Ghana doing sitting down to see all these Ghanaians in jail for what, "immigration law violation". It's obvious that the Ghana government do not care about it's citizens. The british do and that explain how stupid the whiteman can handle and treat the african man because the so called african government do care about his own people. Since when did any staff from the High Commission visited our brothers and sisters pathetically in jails in the UK some with no crime committed at all?
An unscrupulous racist judge in the UK ordered for the destruction of a Ghanaian pasport with his university trabscripts, simply because he has over stayed his visa. This disgusting and undiplomatic case was reported to the High Commission and the rest is not wanting to belong to a country called Ghana.
To the shocking of all, instead of the High Commissioner taking the racist judge on, they instead team up with the UK immigration officials and issued a travelling certificate for the poor Ghanaian to be deported back home.
Our stand of defence was since the UK judge made the unthinkable mistake to order for the destruction of the Ghanaian passport, he effectively did made the Ghanaian unidentifiable and stateless. The destruction of his school transcript also made him unmarketable to get job and therefore, the UK officials could not effect his deportation to his country of origine. In all these the Ghana High Commission did not help as the High Commissioner want us to believe here and rather did compromised with the racist UK authorities to send the Ghanaian victim home.
Do not make the mistake to fall into problem anywhere in the world as a Ghanaian and think you have anybody as your country's rep to come to your defence. Never!!!!
Meanwhile our country, Ghana is completely neo-coloniased and are even slaves in our own country where the Fulanis, Nigerians and the Chinese have rights over us.
