Author: Jah Glory Posted: 2012-08-21 11:17:56 The time given to people to come back or report for their ID Cards is too long. You can imagine taken an ID Card in July and asked to come back for it in a months time (not even specific) and I went at that given period and was told the card was not yet ready. am currently in Abidjan how do I get again. The cards should have been instant.
when will Ghanaians take things serious?
Author: piero Posted: 2012-08-21 11:39:31 another judgment debt may ensue if care is not taken. please, all those who have registered should do well and collect their cards
Re: National I.D Cards Locked Up
Author: Stella Attakpah Posted: 2012-08-21 12:06:36 ID cards collection should be decentralised to local police stations and/or post offices.
pack them in boxes,why shelves
Author: torgbigah Posted: 2012-08-21 12:14:20 why should they fail to collect them? nothing in ghana begins and ends well.make a very hard policy: before one buys ice water, he must provide id, going to public toilet, one must show id,getting on taxi,id, walking on street must show id else police can mistake one for a Nigerian and armed robber, before you enter any shop, id, before you take money from the bank,id i hope with this, everyone will hold id. remember ghanaians are something and are very hard to kill.
Re: National I.D Cards Locked Up
Author: Concern Ghanain Posted: 2012-08-21 12:19:25 As part of the reasons why people are not able to collect them is about the receipt.Individuals cannot trace their receipts, if they can be a wayout for collection.
Breaking news, Akufo Addo is dead

SETTLEMENT DEBTS ARE PRIORITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Author: WHATA PUMPIN Posted: 2012-08-21 12:47:15 THE NDC IS GOOD AT PREPARING THEIR "SCALE OF PREFERENCE" ONLY THAT THEY PREFER TO IMPLEMENT IT BOTTOM-UP. AFTER THEY SAY THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS. I BELIEVE THATS WHY THEY HARDLY MAKE SENSE WITH THEIR ACTIONS AND EVEN ANLYSIS.
Npp supporters are cursed by God

RE: National I.D .........
Author: KWAME Posted: 2012-08-21 13:06:08 This is another example of monetary waste to the country. So NIA do not have any other idea through which these cards will get to the owners after the owners have failed to collect them at their vicinities? It could be that enough education was not made or the cards were sent at times the owners were not available.
In my case the registration was done in the office but nobody has brought these cards to us in the office or at the location of the organization.
People are given assignment and paid heavy and good allowances/remuneration but do not live up to the cost made on them.We are not patriotic at all in this country. We always exploring ways to make lots from the state without thinking of ways to offer the state the same.
Any Wise Person In Ghana?
Author: James B. Otafregya, MSLC Holder Posted: 2012-08-21 13:36:40 I do not know why people are surprised that the operation has failed.
GHANA NEEDS AN ADDRESS SYSTEM BEFORE EMBARKING ON ANY E-GOVERNMENT PROJECT.
The fact is that without a solid adress system, such operations as issuing national id cards are already programmed to fail.
With an addrsss system, tax declaration forms, all kind of ID cards, voting notification forms, bank cards and tens of other documents could be sent per post.
Wher are the wise men in Ghana who would push for an address system for the nation?
Fools
Author: Amen yahoo Posted: 2012-08-21 14:30:55 These Government officials are fools and very stupid.
Grow Up
Author: Kofi Kofi Posted: 2012-08-21 14:46:02 With such a high unemployment rate in the country, you will think they will station few people somewhere to make sure that those who have not gotten their cards are properly identified and be given their id's. But they are thinking about creating storage to store it. Why not burn them instead wasting another money if we will not make effort for those citizens to get the cards. We can place the cards at the nearest police station so that when people sow up they could properly verified and given the IDs. Next time take the mailing addresses so you can mail it to them. The world has come too far for us to allow stuff like these to happen
Re: National I.D Cards Locked Up
Author: Kofi Kofi Posted: 2012-08-21 14:49:11 What they are saiyng is that the IDs are not worth anyting. If it was why will it be hard to find the owners?
NATIONAL I.D. CARDS
Author: APPOERE Posted: 2012-08-21 15:41:36 People did not fail to collect the cards but rather the non-service of the NIA has led to the situation they currently find themselves. The 10 days opening that they talk of, people had to go to to their centres only to realize that their cards are either not among the list or their cards had been sent to other centers where they didn't register coupled with the difficulties of having to go through a long list of names to be able to identify your card which also raises questions as to the use of their computers. The NIA needs to be serious with their operations to warrant the interest of the individual Ghanaian and the money spent in these operations.Their operations does not give us good impressions about the use of the cards and as if: why do we even need the cards?
WHY NOT MAIL THEM,OH MY GOODNESS!!
Author: OMANBA PA Posted: 2012-08-21 16:26:23 I'm yet to know if personal information were collected from the National I.D applicants including names and addresses so the cards could be mailed to them to save time, energy, resources etc etc.Or do they want to see the applicants personally to extort money from them before issuing the cards to them. Oh Mother Ghana, when are we going to learn to make life a little bearable for ourselves and posteririty. What a shame!!!!!
TOO LONG
Author: Nana Afobedewo Posted: 2012-08-21 19:08:16 NIA please employ more hands to help in your operations rather than sticking to the small employees you have, the nature of your operation requires that you employ more personnel to help in quality delivery of your duties, is being two years now since you did the registration in my district (Ga East) and up till now we have not gotten our cards. I even took the pain to come to your office only to be told that my card is not and the personnel could not even give me a time they will start distribution in my area.
WRONG SYSTEM
Author: ZION A.AYARIGA Posted: 2012-08-21 21:17:35 This should have been a police colaboration right from the beginning and addressing system......ohhhhhhhhhh
