NPP doctored Boateng Gyan’s secret tape - General Mosquito
The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu-Nketia says the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) doctored the controversial secret tape attributed to the party’s National Organizer, Yaw Boateng Gyan.
Boateng Gyan has been implicated in a secret tape recording in which he is said to have promised party loyalists soft loans and National Security identification cards to enable them do a yet to-be-instructed job during the December polls.
Yaw Boateng Gyan has since admitted the voice on the tape is his but insist parts of the recordings were doctored.
On Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, General Mosquito maintained that the NPP in its bid to justify All die be die fabricated the tape to implicate the NDC.
He said no amount of fictitious lies by the NPP will exonerate it as a violent party.
The NDC scribe observed that Ghanaians will not be swayed by the diabolic plans of a desperate party like the NPP seeking to win power at all cost.
He said Yaw Boateng Gyan being as a peaceful politician is not capable of plunging this country into chaos hence the NPP's intention to juxtapose its warlike conduct to the NDC has failed.
General Mosquito maintained that the NDC is solidly behind their National Organizer because according to him [Mosquito], Yaw Gyan is not guilty of the offense.
When quizzed by Ekosii Sen host KABA about the difference between latest tape and that of Kofi Adams who was suspended for a similar leaked tape, the NDC General Secretary said Yaw Gyan did not plot to cause the defeat of the NDC.
He added that unlike Kofi Adams, the party’s National Organizer did not flout any law in the party's Constitution.
Notwithstanding, General Mosquito urged the security services to investigate the matter and bring the culprit to book.
