How can the P.R.O. of the Presbyterian Church, known for its discipline, utter such words on behalf of all of us? He must either resign or the General Assembly should give him the sack. It is unheard of.
Our Moderator should be careful because he leads a very big Church and must not bring down our reputation. Moderator Prempeh and the others knew of this and performed well. Leave the politicians to do their own thing and refrain from joining that trail to be insulted left and right.

In a highly partisan political soceity like Ghana, the only thing a respectable church should be doing is to focus on salvation to the lost in sin, and spirituality of members in an immoral world apart from serving as a peace maker in conflict situations. Now, Reverend as you call yourself, can you arbitrate in a dispute between these two highly antagonistic political parties since you've already joined the fray?
This professor is doing something else.He is unknowingly destroying the image of the church. Ghanaians easily read meanings into such statements the church has been making as he is always at the forfront to condemn the government. I don't think this man and their PRO know their job. If the Presby church dos not see the need to bring him and people like him in their leadership to book, the church would suffer for this irresponsible behaviour.
Rev. Professor Martey hates the NDC so much, forgetting that he is leading a congregation made up of members of the two major political parties in the country. Perhaps, he thinks he has now become the National Chairman of the NPP. He sounds much like the late B.J. Da Racha.

No Presbyterian member has planned to demonstrate against what the leaders have said. NDC stop this criminality, it will not do any good thing for the party. The Church is partner in development so if something will not help the citizenry why can't they voice it out. In reality the timing is not good for the creation of the constituencies. Have you heard what is happening in Ashanti Region? People have registered but they can't find the registers and some also can't find their names. EC please concentrate on the biometric registers and make it complete. That is the major factor for free and transparent base for successful election we hope for in 7 Dec 2012.

What is wrong is for that person to use the church pulpit to propagate his/her political views or to propagate such views on behalf of the church. It is not clear from your narrative if the Moderator expressed those views as an individual (which he has the right to do) or did it for and on behalf of the church (which is the wrong thing to do).
