First, Boateng Gyan could not have been inciting violence since he was addressing what was meant to be a private collection of close associates and not public.
Secondly, he was not inciting violence. He was discussing how to gather intelligence from the opposition parties. Any effective party propaganda apparatus will be striving to gain intelligence in order to strategise for comparative electoral advantage. He did not preach violence.
Thirdly, what he was saying were mere speculations without any commitment from national security. He was not even sure national security will support his idea.
Counter intelligence is a reasonable thing to do. I did not hear Boateng Gyan calling for tribal war. He did not incite Akans against Ewes and Gas like Ken Agyapong did.
I wonder what the rational for the secret recording was. In my view, the mole was planted by the NPP in their attempt to find a similar story to Ken Agyapong's in order to diminish the tension ken's rant caused.
What the NPP has done, by planting an informer and a mole within the NDC, is exactly what BOATENG GYAN was planning to do.

There has been several instances when police personnel have turned the blind eye whilst innocent citizens are being brutalized, terrorized and their properties being vandalized. Even government properties have not been spared of the vandalism and arson perpetrated by aggrieved NDC footsoldiers. To date the murders, arson, brutalities, terrorism and vandalism have never been investigated by the police and the perpetrators most of whom are NDC operatives never apprehended to face charges. For us to feel safe and secure there ought to be a full scale independent investigation to determine how far the independence of the police and military has been compromised and to what extent political party operatives have infiltrated their ranks. Let's get to the bottom of this because this isn't just about a tape but it's about sensitive national security issues. There should be no cover ups. I believe the time has come to decentralize the police administration and to take away the appointment of police chiefs from the president to prevent the politicization of the noble institution. This is a serious issue and must not be swept under the carpet. God save Ghana.

He should be arrested, and brought before a properly constituted competent court of jurisdiction to face the full rigours of the law. He should have his day in court!
I expect the President to order his arrest to be brought before the Law. Asking him to resign his position in the NDC is not satisfactory. This is an opportunity for The President to show Ghanaians, he is in charge!!!

Yaw Boateng Gyan's issue borders on national security. He should be brought to book. He should face the law, as even what he was planning to do was more serious than what Kennedy Agyapong did. Kennedy only made a statement which the NDC government felt it was treasonable and thereffore embarked on "showing him where power lies". Unlike Yaw Boateng Gyan, who has prepared or preparing to launch his nefarious activities on election day by meeting and briefing hired thugs, Kennedy did not follow up with any plan or attempt to cause Ashantis to attack Ewes or Gas. Yaw Boateng Gyan should not just be impeached he should be charged with crime, a conspiracy to cause trouble in this country, period! President Mahama should be fair to Ghanaians, if he has any conscience.
