What's the meaning of retirement?
Author: Tuf. Osei Posted: 2012-09-18 08:29:01 I smell a rat here. What are the names of these two officers, and it's coming from the presidency? Shot, retirement is retirement. Why a sudden change? Are you saying the junior officers are not fit or qualified to take over? Give us a brake, this is selective anoinment.

Author: Waltpro Posted: 2012-09-18 09:22:40 Common sense not common indeed; If they are engaged on contracts which I think might be for a year or two, what prevent keeping them in the service for the said number of years? Where their activities could still be under control.

Messing with the rules
Author: Osei Yao Posted: 2012-09-18 11:10:19 This is the way to ruin a police service. Why change the rules to satisfy two apparent Northerners- just because there is a Northerner at the Castle. The rest of the nation is watching avidly.
bad development
Author: black Posted: 2012-09-18 12:52:02 this must be investigated

ALWAYS GREEDY
Author: SOCIAL WHIP Posted: 2012-09-18 23:18:19 Top police officers(Mr.Nanfuri - former IGP not included) are always thinking about what will benefit themselves only. They are bullies with big mouths, and a bunch of liars
Leave COP Hamidu alone
Author: Jimmy Posted: 2012-09-20 04:20:41 This srticle is not about bending police rules but an attempt by the New Crusading Guide to assassinate the character or tarnish the image of COP Hamidu. And this is not the first time! This man has spent most of his working life in the Ghana Police Service rising through the ranks to become COP. Is that how to say goodbye to a dedicated citizen who is about to call it quits? No rule is cast in stone. If the Ghana Police Service is about to amend some of its outmoded rules why should the newspaper pick on an individual officer if there is no hidden agenda or ulterior motive? To me it doesn't make sense for one to be demoted before being retired? Is COP Hamidu the only officer in the Ghana Police Service who has been given contract after retirement age? If the man is so bad as the newspaper wants us to believe, why all the honours that have been bestowed on him, the latest being the crowning of him as a chief in a traditional area in Hohoe? By the way, The New Crusading Guide has already reduced Hamidu's rank. You started by refering to him COP Hamidu but in the end you called him DCOP Hamidu. WHAT GUTTER JOURNALISM IS THIS? No envy or jealousy can destroy a good man.
