I'm still a fan of Kotoko- Eric Bekoe
Striker Eric Bekoe says he still admires Asante Kotoko despite moving to Berekum Chelsea on a two-year deal.
Eric Bekoe completed his move to Berekum Chelsea on Tuesday after a last minute collapsed move to his former club Asante Kotoko.
The 25- year-old was poised to join Kotoko following his release by Egyptian club Petrojet. But the move to the Porcupine Warriors stalled due to contractual disagreements.
According to the 2008 Ghana premier league Goal King, his move to Chelsea is a professional decision but insists Kotoko will always have a special place in his heart.
“I’m still a fan of Kotoko but I’m working for Chelsea now and I have to work according to what I’m being paid to do”. He told JOY Sports
“It only happens that due to the nature of my chosen profession I now play for Chelsea but that wouldn’t change my love for Asante Kotoko.”
Eric Bekoe’s move to Berekum Chelsea is expected to serve as a replacement for Emmanuel Clottey who was sold to Tunisian side Esperance following his exploits in this year’s CAF Champions league.
