Amissah-Arthur only said that the economy is not managed with textbooks & theories; in essence he is a pragmatist. This man's interpretation of his comments is disgraceful. If anything it is the NPP who is suggesting theoretical economic management! If this man ends up as our second in command, I think we should all give up!

He stole peoples idea to implement the redenomination,which he and his former boss refused to aknowledge(the originator who was sidelined is still in the bank)And this young man who needs to sit at the foot of the experienced want us to handover this country to him and his Mr promise 'heaven'. Humiliation of our mothers and sisters at El wak and Aviance. The muslim community shall forever be grateful to the NDC government for rescuing them from this humiliation that was perpetuated by the NPP government. Bawumia should continue wasting time to preach his master's 'kaya' vision of free education. Kufuor promised them a railway line from the south to the north and beyond in 2000. After 8 years in office the people are still waiting for the promise. The NDC promised constructing the eastern corridor road, a more realistic promise, and work is on going currently. The northern card, for which NPP picked Bawumia will not wash because if you have have a president why should you vote for vice? I feel sorry for Bawumia. Next time he finds himself in a position as deputy governor of a central bank, he should not be deceived into abandoning it and seeking for an elusive Vice president position. A word to the wise.....

Either Bawumia did not understand that simple message, or misconstrued the initial comments to score cheap political points. Either way, Bawumia continues to cheapen his credentials on the alter of cheap politics and politricking.

He doesn't speak in a generally bizzare and speculative manner.. rather he he touches at the core of the problem and cites good statitistics that makes right thinkers with no argument... no wonder he has succeeded as an economists,.. I really trust in him. I am a masters holder in Engineering but if i get the opportunity, I will work with him. We need such guys to make things work in our society. Thus its used to mop up the excess liquidity in the system fueling increase in prices. Decrease in interest rate facilitate borrowing resulting to slightly increase in inflation rate. Its not practical economically for interest rate and inflation to either increase or decrease simultaneously. There is no economic theory to support Bawumia's charge against the current level of both interest and inflation rates. The only situation when this sometimes happens is where inflation level is so low and starving economic development. The central bank will then decrease interest rate to encourage borrowing and spending by both industries and individuals. Baumia must come again bse its not always that a fall in inflation rate may result to simultaneous decrease in interest rate.
