Why The Craze For Loans,NDC ?
Author: Jato Julor (J.J.) Rawlings Posted: 2012-09-27 09:03:57 Why the craze for loans, NDC ?
If the govt was able to raise over $500 million locally to pay Woyome,CP,African Automobile e.t.c for no work done, why is it borrowing €50 million for Kpong Generation Station Retrofit Project,€43.7million for the Turnkey Redevelopment of the Ghana Police Hospital,$200 million for affordable houses e.t.c from foreign sources ?
Why is the NDC burdening our children and our children's children with so much debt ?
Why,why, why, why ?
Did did they come to power only to increase Ghana's debt stock ?

Corrupt NPP Tolon Candidate
Author: Babs - Tamale Posted: 2012-09-27 09:10:36 In a complaint dated March 20, 2012, some youth members of the NPP in Tolon, after intercepting a memo of the NDC in which the NDC hinted of pursuing a criminal act of the NPP candidate once he files for the elections. have taken Wahab to CHRAJ
In a complaint dated March 20, 2012, the complainants alleged among other things that Mr Wahab Suhuyini, while a District Chief Executive and receiving salary for his position, continued to take salary at the Ghana Education Service.
Mr Wahab Suhiyini who is a Teacher at the Choggu Demonstration Junior High School was the DCE for Tolon – Kumbugu District from August 2005 to February 2009. Before his appointment as DCE, he was a teacher at the Bagabaga Junior High School in Tamale.
During CHRAH investigation into the case, Mr Wahab Suhiyini admitted taking double salary but indicated that he paid back to the Government chest the amount he collected after winning his party’s parliamentary primaries, with money provided by some big men of the NPP.
CHRAJ has since August this year referred the matter to the regional commander of the Ghana Police service for action to be taken
It should be noted that the youth took this action after the regional and national executive totally ignored the several petitions asking the executives to investigate the issue,
The regional secretary Dr. Braimah is on record telling the constituency executive that, this was not a serious crime in Ghana and that it does not warrant any action from the regional and national executives.
This case could be potentially damaging for the NPP party, as they promise to fight corruption when voted into power. The irony is that, the same party has tried to cover up this corrupt act of Mr Wahab.
Ghana is a failed state.
Author: Ghana Midfield Rocks Posted: 2012-09-27 09:14:29 The stealing is too much, Ghana is a failed state, How can the ministers or the ordinary man on road be straight, when the corruption is coming from the top
Author: Tibaa Posted: 2012-09-27 09:19:37 By the way these political vultures operate, it seems as if Ghana is for sale. What the heck explains this monumental expenditure on furniture, while kids learn under trees and we go begging India for loans to improve upon sanitation in Ghana? Have these cognitively-challenged liliputians lost their mind? Gaddamitt!!!
In our political eye
Author: KWAA Posted: 2012-09-27 09:22:19 It is really sad how we see things in Ghana with only our political eye.Now this article is only an allegation, but in any civilised Democracy, this allegations would have been investigated by the State Proscutor. But not in Ghana, even the comnents which will follow on this forum is only seen in our political eye. Those sympathetic to the NPP will cry foul, whiles those with NDC will just brush it aside and say NPP did worse.
So how do we, as a nation fight corruption,if we see everything as politics?Corruption is the worse enemy of any developing Nation like Ghana.
But because of politics, politcians are getting away with whatever crime they commit against the Nation. If only Ghanaians will not see everything in Ghana as NDC/NPP,Ghana would have been a bit further than where we are today.
GHANAIAN POLITICIAN MEETS US SENATOR
Author: Princewilly@Ymail.com Posted: 2012-09-27 09:32:50 A Ghanaian politician went to the US to visit his counterpart. When the Senator invited him home for dinner, the minister was very impressed by the lavish mansion, grounds and the costly furnishings. He asked "How can you afford all this on a meager senator's salary?"
The senator smiled knowingly and took him to the window.
"Can you see the river?"
"Yes"
"Can you see the bridge over it?"
"Of course", said the minister.
"10 per cent", said the senator smugly.
Some time later, he had occasion to pay a return visit. The Ghanaian minister lavished all hospitality on him. When they came to his house, the American was stunned by the huge palace the minister had built, glittering with precious art, hundreds of servants etc. etc.
"How can you possibly afford this, on a salary in Cedis?', he asked.
The minister called him to the window.
"See the river over there?"
"Sure", cried the senator.
"Can you see the bridge over it?"
The senator looked, was confused, peered closely and said - "No, I don't see any bridge."
"100 percent", said the minister!

Rubbish! Why don't u get all the info before rushing to publish! What we want to know : what was the initial approved budget, schedule and scope of the project? What is the difference now? why should "we" approve, particularly if there is a scope creep or project is operating out of scope?

Rubbish
Author: WUNTIRA Posted: 2012-09-27 09:49:10 It is very interesting how these NPP apologists are trying so hard to tag JDM as corrupt. What is corrupt about contracting loans for specific projects that will better the lives of the people? Gabby is becoming so desperate that he writes before he actually thinks. The Mahama fever is simply unstoppable and no amount lies and fabrications can affect his electoral fortunes in the December polls. Central,Western, B.A., Greater Accra, Upper East, Upper West, Northern and, of course, the great Volta regions have all fallen for JDM already. Nana Addo will surely win Ashanti and Eastern Regions for obvious reasons: the NPP is an Ashanti/Akyem dominated party. The NDC is a broad based party that enjoys support from all over the country. Gabby and his ilk should wake up and smell the coffee.

Yet no money for free education
Author: Asoreba Posted: 2012-09-27 10:28:48 It's amazing how we find money for every stupid thing in Ghana but never find money when we talk about educating our children for free. Can somebody explain this to me? I think everything else with respect to these spendings should be secondary to education.

Unsustainable Levels of Debt/Deficitsget
Author: Asantroffie Anoma Posted: 2012-09-27 12:42:47 Are Ghanaians monitoring national debt as a percentage of the GDP ? The percentate is high and increasing rapidly. We need all to watch out. We cannot do every thing in Ghana by contracting debt - loans !!. Let us think that we cannot develop as a nation by incurring debt for consumption. We need to invest in productive venture that will help us pay for the loans. The MPS are parasites on society - they do not pay for fuels, get free petrol, free housing, free water, free electricity, etc. Why should they be given GHS 230,000 furnishings, an amount which can build at least two three bed room houses. It is lucrative to be a politician. No wonder they would lie thorugh their mandible to be elected into parliament!

Author: Jesus saves Posted: 2012-09-27 14:02:53 Assume one MP's office will value about 5,000 Ghana cedis multipled by the number of MPs how much will it be. This is not even actual cost. Go to furniture shop check prices. A quality Swivel does not cost less than 700 and above.
NATIONAL DESTRUCTION CONGRESS (NDC)
Author: Kwabena Apuntuah Posted: 2012-09-27 15:13:41 People, lend me your ears, they are trying to bankrupt us. We are in a lame duck session, why are they in a rush to approve all these loans? Who are the contractors under all these loans? Who are the financial engineers? Woyome again oooo! Look, on a serious note, these rush loans on a lame duck session and an inducement for vote by bringing the furniture loan up to induce the minority to participate is unacceptable and corrupt at best. Oh Ghana when will you get rid of all these thieves?

NDC SHOULD BE WIPED OUT
Author: Aisha Posted: 2012-09-27 20:25:48 Has anyone wondered how the NDC got into agreement with phone companies in Ghana to charge incoming calls at 24 US cents per minute. According to their own sources, 10 cent of that goes into NDC special account. Was this not the party of coupmakers, who went killing innocent Ghanaians for corruption? And I mean corruption like using office paper for private purposes? And Ghana is going to put these thieves back into power?
