NPP is cursed - Baba Jamal
The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Baba Jamal says a gargantuan defeat awaits the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December general elections.
According to him, the NPP has incurred the wrath of God after it fabricated a tape recording to destroy his reputation.
Baba Jamal made the headlines in August 2011 in a controversial secret tape recording in which he was alleged to be bribing journalists to massage information to favour government.
But Baba Jamal vehemently denied ever uttering the words attributed to him on the tape, adding that the NDC was privy to information that some people were secretly using computer technology to manipulate the voices of key government officials in order to implicate them.
A year after the incident, Baba Jamal on Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, blamed the NPP of being behind the mysterious tape recording he claimed was intended to tarnish his political career.
Baba Jamal indicated that some members of the opposition party doctored the secret tape using computer technology for political expediency.
The Deputy Tourism Minister said the NPP has been cursed by God for instigating what he called a diabolical plan therefore its [NPP] punishment will be a gargantuan defeat in the December polls.
Baba Jamal said he stands for the truth therefore God will judge anyone who decides to plot evil against him.
“I stand for the truth; I am convinced the NPP will lose the election massively” he added.
He contended that the NPP’s electioneering campaign is premised on lies and deceit and so Ghanaians must retain them in perpetual opposition.
