NDC undaunted by Konadu, NDC

pic 67895254 The breaking away of the Rawlingses to form the National Democratic Party will have no adverse impact on the ruling NDC’s electoral fortunes this December, NDC General Secretary Asiedu Nketia has said.

He says the endorsement of former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings as flagbearer of the NDP at a congress Saturday and the subsequent endorsement by NDC founder Jerry Rawlings did not worry the NDC at all.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia said Mrs Rawlings’ abysmal performance in her ill-fated attempt to challenge late President John Mills to the flagbearership of the NDC was a clear testament to how insignificant she was in the NDC.

“It don’t think it is consequential; it has not effect on the NDC; her activities in the past had depicted her as having left the party already so our campaign has been structured adequately to take care of those events so I don’t think is going to have any effect on us,” he said.
