Ball possession is very bad. I was surprised to see on many occasions a player standing on the ball and nowhere to lay a pass. Ghana do not play as a team contrary to Malawians or Zambians.
Mr. AA should watch the 2006 World cup and how Ghana fared. They played as if they were programmed. It took them a minute of two for the ball to reach opponent area and this was not by ballooning the ball but by passing among themselves. Ghana has the right players and good defense to dazzle the world again but needs to improve on ball possession.

There are still some blind folks out there, such as Stallion, who attack people like GHFUO, Rasheed and myself for pointing out these deficiencies. I am now waiting to see the attacks on Ahinful and Nana Agyemang for their candid observations.
The current administration and coaching are not cutting it. One thing I know for sure, if this relates to an American sport—be it American football, basketball, soccer or hockey, we would have seen the last of Nyantakyi and his coaching staff already. In the United States, if you are supposed to be a powerhouse in your field, even a 50-50 or 60-40 season is not good enough and you would be fired. This is critical because it shows that the powerhouse is retrogressing instead of advancing, and, therefore, something drastically must be done, even if the coach do not have a losing record.

Even though we won and qualified, there was no pattern in the way we played. In fact I don't remember the Malawian goalie making a save in the second half. Instead of mustering a fast counter attack our approach was to baloon the ball to the lone man upfront who was always dispossessed by 2 central defenders and who then launch the incessant attacks on Ghana again and again. Something needs to be done. The coach needs to update his skills. In my opinion,he should be sent on a refresher course or attached to a top club in Europe as a way of getting more skills and experience. We have 2 months to decide before it is too late.
