REAL RULE of LAW
Author: Kwaks Posted: 2012-10-19 08:21:37 Gone are those days when politicians use ways and means to get unreasonable and unjust judgement. Ghana is growing beyond the 'Kuffuorial' system of judicial manipulations. We can only pray that other judges take a cue from this. God bless Ghana
Whatever
Author: MR. FIGURE-OUT Posted: 2012-10-19 08:22:11 Afari Gyan and NDC government should be ashamed of themselves for creating more MPS without expanding the facilities at the august house to accommodate them. Yet John Mahama and the NDC buffoons talk about Kuffour's extension of the SHS to four years without building extra classrooms to cater for that effect.

WHAT SORT OF JUSTICE IS THIS?
Author: KENNEDY ADONGO Posted: 2012-10-19 08:31:33 For the Supreme Court to throw out the case against the EC just because of an unbelievable execuse not based on the substance of facts available or on the good laws of the land, just that a lot of time and resources have gone into bringing the 45 unwanted constituencies to fruition is as fraudulent as the decision by the EC to creat the 45 constituencies when logistics and other relevant material resources had not been made available by the government and more so when the political parties involved especialy the oppositions had exhausted all their sources funding on the already overcrowded 230 constituencies.
My question is the EC has till June next year within the powers of the constitution to creat the additional 45 constituencies, so why the rush when the next generation elections is just arround the corner?
Whilst the UK found it wise to beggin to cut the number of membership of the House of Commons (Parliament) in times of social and economic hardships, the economically poor country like Ghana under these despicable misfit disgustingly
"woyomenized" criminals wanting to rig elections to force themselves on the people in a diabolical seceret agenda in association of the EC unthinkably planned to increase the memberships of the overcrowded legislation assembly.
What-ever, the strong good will of the poor maginalised people shall certainly overcome the tyrant hoodlum NDC baboon criminals.

ASIEDU NKETIA VINDICATED
Author: AGYAAKU Posted: 2012-10-19 09:33:46 Many were those who misconstrued the comely advice Asiedu Nketia gave to his Moderator as insult. He never insulted him. Instead, he advised that he desist from dabbling in politics which might expose him to public scrutiny and insult. Now the Judges have spoken in favour of EC.
The Churches have for a long time been partners of the country´s Educational Development and this was an area I was expecting the Bishops and Moderators to comment. Yet their silence is deafening.
They are looking the other way when they know very well that Nana Akuffo-Addo is banking on the poverty of the people to hide behind the "Free SHS" to steal the election. This is the area the Bishops and the moderators should come out to challenge the viability of this policy. Instead, they are allowing the confusion of last year´s SHS reopening to be repeated, this time ten folds should the voters fall for this deception.

Corrupt Judiciary
Author: Woman Posted: 2012-10-19 09:58:09 Now I know why under Mills the NDC would not win any case. The judiciary is so corrupt. Mills, according to reliable insider sources, refused to bribe the judiciary and as a pay back, they made sure he lost all cases. How can a whole supreme court rule against a case because resources spent by the state. What about the other 30 constituencies; didn't the nation even spend so much money considering how much has been expended on them over the years? Oh Ghana! Corrupt executives and judiciary - where are we heading!
I Think Many Are Shocked B'cos We Focu..
Author: G. K. Berko Posted: 2012-10-19 10:08:09 I think many are shocked by the rulings not because of the legal applications of employed per se, but by the near obscurity of the case on the 30 that preceeded the 45.
However, when I read the ruling on the 30, as reported in the Media, I realized then that the 45 might stand, much to my disappointment.
Despite the fact the 45 were created properly as prescribed by the Constitution, the timing of their creation alone was enough reason to have withdrawn the exercise. Sometimes, other exigencies may render a certain Law of flawless constitutionality inapropriately applied. The Judges, I think, did not weigh in much such exigencies in the case of the 45.

Re: Supreme Court throws out case against EC
Author: Kofi Posted: 2012-10-19 13:34:46 What is the sense in this? why not the 45 too?
NPP have lost the Elections, Amen.
Author: Filler Ellembele Posted: 2012-10-19 13:51:14 NPP will continue to be expose. NPP don't have credibility to criticize EC because in 2004 NPP use illegal means to created 38 MMD in GHANA. NPP have lost the Elections.
Troublesome!
Author: Rogger Posted: 2012-10-19 16:59:06 This judgment is troublesome, to say the least. Does any person’s or agency’s action become constitutional simply because "a lot of time and resources have gone into bringing it to fruition"? Does the court appreciate the fact that its decisions become laws of the land? What type of precedence is our highest court setting by this bizarre reasoning?
