The United Front Party (UFP) says it is dragging the Electoral Commission (EC) to court for accepting the presidential nomination of Akwasi Addai, who party officials insist has been sacked.

The UFP says the commission has bent the rules to hand Mr. Addai, popularly known as Odike, the candidature on the party’s ticket.

The party claims to have dismissed him over allegations of corruption, but he challenged the action in court, though he later discontinued the case.

Party Chairman, Nana Agyenim Boateng, tells Luv News all party offices and other resources will remain inaccessible to Odike as the UFP challenges the EC’s decision in court.

He cites, in particular, EC’s Deputy Chairman in-charge of Operations, Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka, and Director of Elections, Kofi Asomaning, for blame.

Meanwhile, Nana Boateng has hinted the UFP will align itself with another political party in this year’s election, though he will not immediately say which party will benefit from such alliance.
