Author: G. K. Berko Posted: 2012-10-25 06:51:07 Granted that the Judge didn't deem it necessary to call Nana Akufo-Addo and Kwadwo Mpiani to testify, do we know if any relevant investigations were done to substantiate any such connections or promises made by any Official to Mr. Markin?
Mr. Markin may be one of those pseudo-Businessmen who deliberately brush shoulders with unsuspecting Government Officials and immediately turns around to brag about knowing the eminent Officials very well and even have them in their pockets.
There are a lot of such opportunistic fake Businessmen in Ghana who would always want to invoke some quasi-relationship they have with some Official to win the trust of other Businessmen only to dupe the latter.
The ubiquitous presence of Kwadwo Mpiani's name in many Judgment Payments is, however, a bit worrisome. Is it because he was the sole "Gatekeeper" to humongous Project Deals with the Government of his time? Or, he was shrewdly spreading his wings all over to sort out what he wanted to take and reject what he didn't consider lucrative enough? Or, it is only a concerted focus on him to tarnish his image that the perpetrators think would amply taint the Kufuor's Presidency?

As corrupt as Mahama is and blinded by what he stood to benefit he even forgot he was dealing with his own former colleague MP's and went to the floor of parliament to insult well discerning colleagues who had seen through and punctured holes in the stinking STX deal he championed and called them names. Consider the current development on the political scene in Ghana. Does Mahama and the NDC want to tell Ghanaians that Prez. Atta Mills was that bad a president and Mahama being praised by JJ now is the best thing that happened to the NDC? Food for thought.

to determine if those stories are logical. The purveyors of such stories know that most Ghanaians will not assess those stories or at best are too lazy to delve in to satisfy themselves of the veracity or otherwise of what has been put out.
Perhaps that is why some people do not want more Ghanaians to receive higher education in order to always keep us ignorant.
