Veep’s advance convoy knocks and kills woman

Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur was greeted by sad news on the resumption of his campaign in his home region today.

An elderly woman was knocked down by a vehicle in the convoy of his advance party on their way to Dunkwa on Offin in the Central Region.

Reports say the victim who was crossing the highway was rushed to the government hospital in one of the cars but unfortunately died.

Freelance journalist Francis Dogli who witnessed the accident told Joy News shortly after the incident that the woman died on the way to Dunkwa Government Hospital
