Teenager drown in River Tano

pic 67489178 A 17-year-old boy got drowned on Christmas Eve when the canoe he was using to cross River Tano at Wassa Dunkwa near Asankragwa in the Western region capsized.

The teenager, identified as Augustine Logo was said to be returning from a hunting expedition he had done to in search of some game for the Christmas celebrations.

Logo was said to be a farmer and a known hunter in the Wassa Dunkwa area.

A police source told Daily Graphic Logo had gone on a hunting expedition on December 24, 2012.

While crossing the River Tano in a canoe it capsized as a result of strong current and wind causing him to drown.

The body, which was later found on the banks of the river has been deposited at the Asankragwa Catholic Hospital for autopsy.
