Akwasi you have nothing to worry about
Author: Promise Son Posted: 2013-02-11 12:09:07 Akwesi you've been forgiven. We know you have good things ahead for mother Ghana. Steve Keshie didn't do it in a single trial so don't worry about what some Ghanaians would say against you. We shall support you in prayers until you prove to all Ghanaians and Africans that there are good things in our own blood. We say no more 'Obroni coach' and I believe all Ghanaians support me with that. God bless our homeland Ghana!
A.A we love you but it's sad.
Author: payola Posted: 2013-02-11 12:09:33 Look nobody loves Akwasi Appiah more than me but this is football management.
against Congo : We were praying for the game to end in a draw in the dying minutes because Congo almost came back to whip us 3 goals.
against Niger: cough cough..infact it became 1-1 scoreline but the coach refused nigers clean goal.
against Mali: lucky to have penalty. one nil
against Cape verde: we lost that game. say what you want. No midfield, no attack, edge of our seat for 45mins.
against Burkina: we were finally expose!
against mali: no penalty goal this time. oh we had one again.
Only blind men think we can beat zambia for WCQ or better yet win all our group matches with an apprentice coach . we will loose if we sit down and hope. Nyantakyi ACT NOW.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO FORCE YOURSELF TO COACH WHEN YOU LACK THE KNOWLEDGE/EXPERTISE. YOU NEED TO RESIGN AND GO TO A QUALITY COACHING COURSE. GHANA SHOULD STOP THE SQUARE STICK IN A ROUND HOLE MENTALITY. THERE ARE BETTER GHANAIAN COACHES THAN MR. APPIAH. THERE ARE GOOD THINGS AHEAD FOR THE STARS; WE KNOW THAT UNTIL YOU CAME IN TO DESTROY THEM WITH YOUR MEDIOCRE COACHING.
A.A save your bright future.
Author: asante Posted: 2013-02-11 12:26:26 Appiah please do the honorable thing and tender in a resignation letter. You still have a future with the stars after you have coached some clubs in Ghana. It will be easy to return and claim the coaching position because your experience with the Blackstars will work in your stead. But If you stay right now you are risking everything forever.

Are you also sorry for all the dollars you are laughing your way to the bank?
Recently, the Chairman of a global bank turned down his bonus.
You need more club action to build up your confidence and competency which coaching certificates can not offer. A picture says more than a thousand words. The TV cameras from South Africa revealed alot about you. You are just inept.

Say something
Author: NOB Posted: 2013-02-11 13:58:19 Yea, we have accepted his appology but that shouldn't change the authority's mind to get raid of him.I am not a coach but druing the games anything that i would say all came to pass.Example; the game b/n GHANA and BURKINA FASO, i noitced Mr Agyemang BADU was not at his best from the onset, unfortunate we all saw what happened. He gave away two goals. The coach should have made those changes rather we could have gone far. Also Mr Gyan was not motivating, encourageing, and leading the players as captain.Psychologicaly speaking, the coach need an advance coaching course,he is not up to the mark for me.Simply he is not fit for the job.Let's try Mr Marseille D. or ZAMBIA'S coach if only he is out of job. Thanks to you all who support my ideology
OLD HORSES OUT
Author: TRUTH Posted: 2013-02-11 14:00:27 Asamoah Gyan and John Pantsil should leave the team and make way for younger players. Ghana must also build on their stamina.
Akwasi Appiah needn't to render appology
Author: Koo Nana Posted: 2013-02-11 14:07:28 I saw a progressive build up in the team. First, he qualified the boys to the Championship. Coach Akwesi Appiah played a couple of test matches to clean up the rough edges, with great results over Egypt and Tunisia.
At the African Championship, the Black Stars won the Group stage with the maximum points. Then, they qualified for the quarter-finals, then the semi-finals.
The Coach, like any other mortal being can't just win it all every day.He won some and lost some.
Didn't see it
Author: Jason Posted: 2013-02-11 14:16:06 With all respect,
If ghana is going to play like this, then I have to say that they will never win a African cup and worldcup qualifications will be even harder.
It is time for him to make room because he failed and some of these players should first fight to get a starting point at their respective clubs..because most of them are benchwarmers and you cannot build a team upon benchwarmers hence his arguments does not fly in this sense.
Osei Kofi, Razak, Polo, Abedi
Author: jb Posted: 2013-02-11 14:32:02 These guys can help with scouting, player development and selection. Together they are a great resource for Ghana...Polo is unemployed and always complaining. Author: Kpakpo Allotey Posted: 2013-02-11 15:26:38 Is the GFA the owner of the Black Stars the the President of the FA can unilaterally decide for all Ghanaians? The poor performance of the Black Stars is the worse in recent times and I shudder to think that we have a chance of going to Brazil in 2014. Fellow Countrymen, Akwasi is not capable of taking us to Brazil and the earlier he's giving the marching orders the better. Nyantakyi and that stupid Diarra contributed to the poor performance of the Black Stars. They must all go and the PIC should as a matter of Public Concern launch a full scale investigation into what analysis went into selecting players into the Black Stars because most of the players are playing in sub leagues, others too playing 3rd and 4th division leagues in Europe while those playing premiere leagues were left behind with a stupid excuse of "they are not fit". Jordan is far better than all the BS strikers paraded in South Africa yet he was not invited and we have a 4th division player being called. Black Stars is a National Team and the Coach can not treat it as his personal property to settle personal old scores with Abedi Pele. Truth be told, Appiah is not the right person for the job at the moment and if GFA think otherwise, then Ghanaians should brace themselves again for another disappointments. Sorry indeed but Akwasi James is not up to the scratch so let us all save him from putting the country into another mourning moment. JAMES AKWASI APPIAH SHOULD DO THE NATION A FAVOUR BY RESIGNING and Nyantakyi should not be a member of the Management Team let alone be the Chairman. We need accomplished ex-Black Stars players to constitute the management team to curb the corruption. What Nyantakyi has done is like killing us softly and until the Prez himself step in, we shall be miserable in the coming month.
All Missing the Point
Author: Berto Posted: 2013-02-11 15:31:18 Has anyone thought about getting Kwesi Appiah to develope his tactical skills. He obviously has something foreign coaches don't have. Let's work on that. Ghana needs a local coach who is not influenced by rich players, not afraid to make decisions and innovative. Ghana will not win all the time but should lose with some pride.

I STILL BELIEVE THAT NAIJA AND BURKINA WORKED TOGETHER TO ENSURE GHANA REMOVAL. FROM THE GROUP STAGES TILL THE END IF YOU OBSERVE GOOD YOU CAN SEE THAT THIS TWO TEAMS HAD SOMETHING WITH EACH OTHER WHILE GHANA WAS THERE TO STRUGGLE ALONE. WHY IS KESHIE NOW SAYING HE WANT TO RESIGN IF HE BELIEVES IN HIS TEAM? THE TRUTH SHALL COME OUT SOON. WE ARE LIVING WITH THE WHITE AND WE KNOW HOW THEIR FACES LOOK LIKE WHEN THEY HAVE CHEATED. WATCH THE GHANA BURKINA GAME AND SEE HOW BURKINA TRAINER LOOKED LIKE THEN COMPARE WITH THAT OF THEY AND NIGERIA GAME. ALSO LOOK AT STEPHEN KESHIE'S REACTION IN THAT GAME WHICH WAS EVEN FINALS AND COMPARE WITH HIS PREVIOUS BEHAVIOUR WHEN NAIJA FACED OTHER TEAMS. BURKINA WERE MADE TO WEAR NIGERIAN T-SHIRTS TO RECEIVE THEIR MEDALS WHILE NIGERIA REFUSED TO WEAR THEIRS ABANDONING THEIR INITIAL PLAN TO BEHAVE AS BROTHERS. EVEN BEFORE THE GAME THE NIGERIA T B. JOSUA MENTION OF SOMETHING THAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE FIELD,BUT HE WILL NOT TELL BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL BE SHOCKED AND THAT NAIJA MUST TAKE THE FIRST GOAL BECAUSE IF THEY GIVE THE FIRST GOAL TO BURKINA THEY WILL GO INTO DEFENCE,CHECK THIS OUT ON MYJOYONLINE.COM.I AM NOT SOMEBODY WHO BELIEVES IN THOSE PROPHESIES BUT I DO KNOW THAT T.B.JOSUA WILL USUALLY MENTION THE WINNING TEAM AND NOT TALKING ABOUT IF THEY ALLOWED THE BURKINA TO TAKE THE FIRST GOAL THEY WILL GO INTO DEFENDING,MEANING THEY WILL BETRAY NAIJA. WE NEED TO STOP BLAMING OUR BOYS AND PLAN AHEAD BECAUSE WE WERE FACING A WELL PLANNED TWO TEAMS THAT VIOWED TO WORK TOGETHER AND MAKE SURE THEY REMOVE US.WHAT IS THAT THING THAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE FIELD THAT T.B.JOSUAH SAID IF HE MENTIONED PEOPLE WILL BE SHOCKED? AND THAT THEY DO NOT NEED TO BRING THE CUP INTO HIS CHURCH,THAT THE WIN IS FOR NIGERIA AND MUST BE TAKEN TO CELEBRATING WITH NIGERIANS. WHY WAS KESHIE SAD EVEN WHEN HE WAS LEADING AND WHY IS IT ON TWITER THAT HE WANT TO RESIGN? CHECK MYJOYONLINE. YOU MAY ALSO GOOGLE ON T.B.JOSUAH COMMENT ON THE NATIONS CUP 2013.I REST MY CASE.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH
Author: Whatever Posted: 2013-02-11 16:15:28 Not that someone has a bone to pick with Kwasi Appiah, its just that he is simply not up to the task. There was a clear lack of intensity and disciple both in our defense and in our attack which was borne by his bad team selection and tactical changes. Agyemang Badu is not a gifted dribbler so why on earth did he choose to dribble with his back to the burkinabe striker in between our defensive lines which was so close to our goal area? The players and technical team need to explain this carelessness and lack of seriouness to tactical discipline

Author: Efo kwabla Posted: 2013-02-11 17:02:50 Irrespective of the fact that Gh couldn't made it to the grand finale doesn't mean Akwasi Appiah shd be sacked. We learn from our mistakes. And I believe since he has admitted his mistakes, would give him more experience in the subsequent matches ahead. Let all Ghanaians cool our temper and give him our maximum support and pray for the ears of his profession as a coach to be enlightened and to understand the tactical tricks on the field of play, so as to be able to know who to play and where to play and when to make changes and when to not.
Now that he has this exposure , let us all unite and support him and pray that he would be able able to take decision by himself and not to allow anyone to dictate for him. God bless Ghana.

You'll succeed if you keep on trying!!!
Author: Victor A. Young Posted: 2013-02-11 20:52:45 You've not committed any crime Hon. Coach Kwasi Appiah. In football, anything is possible! These days every nation knows how to play good football---Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali are the current best teams in that order and every Ghanaian has to accept that fact.
You have the talent; there's more to learn. All you have to do is begin getting to learn the latest techinques in the game of football by enrolling in a reputable Coaching Academy, in Europe and South America; I'd suggest that the GFA help you and other coaches to acquire more knowledge in the game.
Don't let anyone frighten you, or accuse you wrongly. I have been pushing for a "Top-Class" world Coach to take charge of Black Stars, while you take your courses. The GFA has the final say though. All in all, there's still hope; don't give up. You have my fullest support.
Just take it cool and do your analysis and see where we fall short, in terms of player selection and performance ect. Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United, had to battle the odds, to become a one of the greatest coaches in England. This is an eye-opener; you're on the right track.
I wish you the very best in the new challenges ahead. You will succeed if you keep on trying and our dear nation Ghana, will be the ultimate winner! Cheer up coach.
keep repeating same mistakes.
Author: sixtus adongo Posted: 2013-02-11 21:20:59 Kwasi Appiah is a nice guy but nice does not win trophys for ghana. The happiness of every ghanain comes when there is victory most especially in football. However, this diffinatelly not the guy to win any trophy. ONE,,kwasi appiah is talking about building a team, we do not need a team, we already have a team that we spend several yrs in building, we have a team that the world envy. You have decided to be mr know all and decide to breack the team and put up your own team and it backfires on you.Secondly, you have been an assistant coach for several yrs with this team, even went as fars as going to the world cup with the best team and the best coach we ever hard and so my question is that kwasi, u never learnt anything from this guy.Followed by this recent coach Plavi.so u never learn?it semms like it. And if u have not learned for such several yrs, you never get it make a way for another coach.I for one was against the choice of kwasi appiah but rather salas teteh a person who hard proved success, and u never change what works, u only change what is not working which is kwasi appiah. This is what the previous coach of 2010 did to succeed, and u should have learnt from that.He mix the young talent like the Ayews. inkooms, badu with the experiance players and it worked to perfection, u just dont get up with your pride self with 10 young players who cannot withstand pressure to a tournament likke AFCON.Substitutions were too bad, and know game changing plan adopted when your oponentsare playing a style which does not suite your regular style of play.Nice guy, but we tied of always crying without doing something about it.I will strongly suggest that we should drop our pride and bring back the 2010 coach...he will be able to mobolize the team like the Ayews, kiven, and muntari for he got along very well with them, and know how to play a good strategy.Lets do something now or never. thanks.

'Salvaging the fast waning image of Ghana soccer has nothing to do with contracting Foreign Coaches.
After all,how many of those so called 'expert oburoni coaches' hasn't Ghana employed?
Don't worry!its just that some of us Ghanaians are mesmerised and overly infatuated with white skinned people ha-ha-ha-ha!

AS A FORMER PLAYER
Author: JOHANNESBURG Posted: 2013-02-13 05:35:55 As a former player you did a wrong decision by using your play maker to defend.I lives in Johannesburg and i heard one of your press conference after Mali's game, which you said Kwadwo Asamoah is a utility player who can play every position which you're very wrong because you just looked at what he is doing at JUVE,Which Asamoah is playing with a top quality players around him that's the reason why he is performing at juve but here comes you don't have such quality players in the Black stars. So it was a wrong decision. And another question is how many defenders did you take to the afcon?you shouldn't have gone with them if you don't believe in them.
I support you very well please don't let any useless players cost your job i have said before that you're putting bread on your family table through your job.
Now its about world cup and every player dream is to play the world cup so please try as much as possible to speak Essien,KP Boateng,Muntari,Dede,John Mansah and introduce Frimpong. These guys are going to lift your name high.
We always says John Mansah is old but the guy is good, after last year's afcon he was selected among the caf top 11.These players will help gyan more to score goals for Mother Ghana.

Appiah Tells Ghanaiana
Author: Ibrahim Alah Posted: 2013-02-14 00:30:52 There is nothing to be sorry about coach, you did your best and your best was just not enough to win us the trophy. I am advising you to go by some of the strategies applied before and during the 1978 Cup of Nations in Ghana which we won. It involved enough time (about two years) for the preparation, go on tour to some countries and also using mostly our local players if not all who do not have anything to do with big contracts in europe (I'll suggest you do away with the professionals). Talk to some of the players namely Abdul Razak, Anas Seidu, Opoku Afriye, Awule Quaye, Paha, Dan Kayode, Carr and others for their views, don't underestimate their advices. This will surely help to some extent coach Appiah. Good luck, I am solidly behind your stay with team.
