TONY AIDOO IS THE BIGGEST BUFFOON IN NDC

Author: OLD SOLDIER Posted: 2013-02-27 04:41:24
When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Confused plaintiffs

Author: Dr Yaw Ohemeng Posted: 2013-02-27 05:48:20
I will refer the plaintiffs to Parliament's own website which has the following:

The responsibilities of your MP

"Your MP will generally do everything he or she can to help constituents but will not feel able to support every cause, nor will they be able to get the desired solution to every individual problem.

Members may not be willing to support one constituent if in doing so they will deprive another.

At times a constituent's demands may conflict with party policy and your MP will have to decide where their first loyalty should lie. The Member may think that, in any case, a majority of constituents would support the party policy - after all
that is likely to be one of the reasons why they elected him or her.

There is no statutory job description for MPs.

The Code of Conduct for Members of Parliament, the latest version of which was agreed to by the House is the nearest approximation. The purpose of the Code is “to assist Members in the discharge of their obligations to the House, their
constituents and the public at large”.

So what are they talking about? It is not a Constitutional requirement for MPs to sit in to vet ministerial nominees. They are just to be appointed subject to approval of Parliament. Have they not been appointed? Unless these plaintiffs think that the appointments are not legal because the majority abstained, which is allowed.

There is no where in the Constitution that the State of the Nation address should be before the whole of Parliament, neither is there a requirement for a debate.

You are just wasting everybody's time. Rather, implore the Supreme Court to move fast to resolve the current impasse.

Anything made by man is not perfect. Even The Creator Himself said: 'He has regretted for creating man'.

The Constitution is the basic Law of the land. There could be mistakes. These could either be 'natural and human', or 'mistakes of time.'
This is the reason why there is the need for amendments.

The petition filed by Nana Akuffo Addo and Co. is revealing some of these weaknesses or mistakes in the constitution .

A critical scrutiny of the Constitution would show that although the drafters foresaw the need to include provisions for an aggrieved citizen of Ghana to protest, by filing a petition at the Supreme Court, they never dreamt that there would ever be such a situation in Ghana where an aggrieved citizen, would file a petition at the supreme court challenging the validity of the election of the President, and as such, they did not consider the consequences, should there be any such occurrence.

They did not visualize the probable solutions to such an issue, should it occur!

This is the core of the problems.

Had they been able to foresee any such future occurrence and its consequences, they would have included in the Constitution adequate provisions that would have taken care of most of the issues that are contained in the petition filed by these three gentlemen;

Sumaila Bielbiel, Samuel George and George Spencer.

The bottom line is that, until the Constitution is amended, one can say that these gentlemen are fighting an 'Uneccessary Lost Battle' or a 'Battle for Mirage'.

SUMAILA BIELBIEL?
SAMUEL GEORGE?
GEORGE SPENCER?

These three names seem to me as outlandish foreign/alien names. Are these so-called petitioners real and/or actual Ghanaians. They should first of all declare their inalienable rights to be genuine Ghanaians.

Which parts of Ghana do these patriotic individuals come from?

I think their move is an attempt to deflect attention from the real festering political problems confronting the country Ghana.

They should not 'waste our ears'!
