Murder in Abuakwa; 2 seriously injured

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has commenced investigation into the murder of a 13 year old who was killed during an attack on her family on Monday at Abuakwa in the Ashanti Region.

The attack also left the mother and sister of the deceased severely injured. The family was attacked by some unknown assailants.

Speaking to Citi News, an auntie to the deceased Ama Kitewa said the incident is still like a dream.

“I don’t know if it was a dream or a reality. We were all sleeping in the hall because of the power outage. All I heard was someone shouting ‘Ama your sister is hurt’,” she stated.

Madam Kitiwa further disclosed, “I grabbed a torch, went to my sister and all I saw was blood. I decided to get a cloth to stop the bleeding. When I put the torch down, I saw my sister’s youngest son lying dead on the floor.”

“My sister’s husband died three weeks ago and his funeral is in two weeks. We don’t have a problem with anybody,” she added.
