Court resumes Woyome hearing today

pic 15328082 The Financial Division of the Accra Fast Track High Court will today resume hearing of the criminal case against businessman, Alfred Woyome.

The court, presided over by Justice Ajet-Nassam, at its last sitting adjourned the case due to the breakdown of the court's recording machine.

The former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Vanlare Dosoo, was present in court at the last hearing to testify.

Mr. Woyome is facing two counts of defrauding by false pretense and causing financial loss to the state after receiving judgement debt to the tune of 51 million Ghana cedis.

Five persons have so far testified in the case including the Deputy Head of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mrs. Mangowa Ghanney, and a former Minister of Finance, Yaw Osafo Maafo.

The rest are former Deputy Minister of Finance, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, Yvonne Quansah and Deputy Governor, Lionel Dosoo.
