Odotobri Rural Bank supports Jacobu community

The Odotobri Rural Bank at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region has put up a multipurpose community centre for the Amansie Central community.

The facility, which was inaugurated to precede the bank’s 26th annual general meeting recently has been named after the late Nana Adu Darko, the chief of Jacobu during whose reign the bank was established.

The Nana Adu Darko Community Centre was financed by the bank at a cost of GH¢900,000 as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.

The decision to put up the community centre became necessary because almost all the community meetings were held directly in front of the bank premises.

According to the CEO of the bank, Mr Siaka Ahmed Baba, the board realised that those community activities posed a security threat to the bank. Besides, the bank at the time held its annual general meetings in the churches and so the decision was taken to put up the facility to serve those purposes.
