New iPad Air hits Ghana market

Core Group Africa, the official distributors of Apple products in the country, has introduced the iPad Air into the country.

The new iPad Air features a 9.7-inch retina display and has a thinner and lighter design.

It weighs less than 500 grams, a press release from the company said.

The statement added that the new iPad Air would be available in authorised retail shops from December 12 nationwide.

“iPad Air is unbelievably thin and light and we encourage customers to visit their nearest Apple authorised reseller to purchase or experience this life-changing

product,” Core Group Africa’s Director, Mr Rutger-Jan van Spaandonk, said.

The statement said the company had appointed some shops as Apple authorised resellers across the country to sell the iPad Air. That, it said, was to ensure that the product was available through official partners.

This is to help reduce the challenges associated with warranty and repairs, as well as to help give value for money to those purchasing, the statement from the company added.

It said a full list of the authorised resellers was available on and thus encouraged prospective buyers to be familiar with that list to help them buy from genuine sources only.

“Customers are reminded that when they purchase iPad Air, they qualify for free productivity and creativity apps. Apple have made iWork (keynote, pages and numbers) and iLife (Garageband, iPhoto and iMove) free with the purchase of any new iPad. This means that customers will be able to do amazing things with presentations, documents, spreadsheets, photos, videos and music, all for free,” the statement added.

The Apple Air now adds to the various range of apple products including the iPhone range of mobile phones currently in distribution across the country.
